About me, well.....I am a prolific reader, not much of a drinker though I do enjoy one now and again. I have a most excellent sense of humor, and like to make jokes. I believe that laughter is very good for you. I can't abide liars and cheaters. I am as loyal as a hound dog, and am even house broke. I have children and grandchildren. Most of my family is around here.

Fighting the battle of the bulge, and trying to get into a shape other than round. Getting my house in order, and trying to cope with retirement.

Listening, talking I can be very loquacious, cooking nothing fancy just good home style cooking and I make a mean pot of chili of course my love of cooking isn't helping me with the "battle of the bulge". :)

My more than passing resemblance to Jerry Garcia. My eyes, smile.

This could go on and on. Favorite books anything by Robert Heinlein, J.R.R. Tolkien, E.R. Burroughs Mars books, Calvin and Hobbes (did I mention laughter is good for you?), R. Zelazny, Sir A.C. Doyle, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Cussler, Douglas Adams. The list is actually much longer but I will stop it here.
When it comes to movies I go for sci-fi, action adventures, thrillers, comedies. I am not really in to horror movies or tear jerkers, I still won't watch "Old Yeller".
My taste in music is rather eclectic from classic rock to swing to jazz, torch songs, classical, even some country.
I like to watch Doctor Who, Torchwood, Primeval, Eureka, Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, I am a "browncoat" and watch Firefly whenever I can, Star Trek.
Food nothing fancy, just good. I do like things to be spicy at times like when I make chili. I like Italian, Chinese, Greek, Tex-Mex.
