According to Myers Briggs an ENFJ. In a word or three; responsible, trustworthy and fun. I am honest and open, and a good communicator. Intolerant of cruelty, bigotry, and intolerance. Wake up in a good mood excited about the new day. My wife told me every day that I made her feel beautiful. I learned the proper way to do facials, and did them for her nearly every evening for years, as well as massages. She was a netball player (European basketball), marathoner, soccer/rugby player, cyclist/triathlete, Ironman. She was the multi-jock, I'm only a cyclist. Emotionally available and well grounded; have never been prone to mood swings. No anger issues with bad drivers, etc.. Treat those who serve me with just a little more respect than those I serve. Sense of humor? I see the humor, and often the irony, in just about everything; sometimes even in tragedy. Is that bad?

My family members are special to me and we've stayed close over the years. My brother is in Oak Park should the animals need attention (he's a vet), my sister is in Agoura, my Aunt and Uncle are in Oxnard with the beach for a back yard where we string a volleyball net each Thanksgiving. We all see each other weekly and have a lot of fun. I'm the only one not married, and admit that I miss being in love. Hope you don't mind, but I never let a dog pass by without saying hello. Can't imagine not having some four legged creatures around me, and feel blessed just to be in their presence. Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if people were even half as noble as dogs? It's a very nice feeling to see all the rescued dogs as pets on this site.

I hope you have a nice smile, and a sense of humor. People tell me I'm funny. I'm an attentive, considerate, patient and thoughtful person who loves to share. I even get excited about sharing. The sense of humor is definitely dry, and at times even a little over the top, but hey! Aren't we supposed to be having fun? At least I'm playful.

Cycling, photography, and birding are favorites; have recently been doing more hiking as one sees more birds and animals than when cycling. I could tell you just about anything you might like to (hopefully) know about North American birds. A year ago September spent 10 days in Denali National Park. It was quite a treat to be able to photograph wild Grizzlies, Caribou, Dahl, Sheep, and Black Billed Magpies. Others proved to be a little more elusive to photograph, e.g.; Golden Eagles, but they were still magnificent to see. Last May spent six days all off road into Death Valley where I first drove up, then hiked the rest of the way up into 5 different canyons; one each day. You'll find me open to other things as well. When am I serious? When it counts. You can believe me when I say I'll do something ... ... I always do it. Like a dog, I am loyal and true. :)

Being flexible, continuing to learn and better myself. Putting your comfort ahead of mine, keeping my word, listening (hearing between the lines) and understanding another person's point of view, fun conversation with a little bantering, and making you laugh. Reading animals and people. Being considerate, loyal and responsible. Athletics ... ... I love the fun of sports, winning or losing is secondary to me.

Uh ... ... cat hair? :) People think I have no body fat. I have a little. Am told I have engaging eyes, energy and enthusiasm, and that I live in the moment.

Mostly non fiction. A couple of years ago I became very interested in studying diet, and its effect on the body. I read everything I could find on macrobiotic foods, and healthy diets in general, and changed my diet accordingly. It's been a fun education. The Art of Racing in The Rain, Wesley the Owl, Watchers, In His Own Write. The Four Agreements, The 8 Essential Traits of Couples who Thrive, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, John Gray. I have given many copies of The Art of Racing in the Rain away. To me it's very special.

Have seen mostly foreign films at the Laemmle theaters of late. Enjoy movies which make one think or are outrageously funny. Being There comes to mind, as does The Saint, As good as it Gets, The Edge, The Pledge, Lone Star, American Beauty, Fly Away Home, Living with Wolves, The Birdcage ... lots of others. I like everything Alfred Hitchcock did. Favorite music rock n roll, blues, classical, Enya, Enigma, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Joan Baez (my real life hero), Ray Davies, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen.

Not only do I love to cook, but my sister and sister-in-law are even better at it. We see each other often.

The sun, birds, animals, music, your touch and a sense of humor. Also my family members and bicycles please!

Abused and abandoned animals. How is it that any human could abuse any animal? Why aren't more of us practicing holistic medicine? Or what would be the most fun activity (usually which bicycle ride) to do on my next day off.

At home or out, or at my brother's or sister's.
