1) My Irish accent gets thicker when I'm excited, tipsy or chatting to fellow country-(wo)men.
2) I work on the space program, have a startup and love my job(s).
3) I'm one of People magazine's top 50 men who are really,...., really, really, ridiculously good-looking (Zoolander!) :P.
I love a good laugh.... even your silliest jokes, but I also love smart humor (e.g. I love The Onion, theoatmeal.com and Family Guy for the smart-stupid juxtaposition). I'm an overall optimistic bloke. Partly from having a cool, loving, laid-back family and an equally cool, laid-back bunch of friends, both here and back in Ireland, and partly because I love my job.
I like to have a lot of friends, but only a few close ones. I love reading The Economist, talking politics and reading history but try not to get too opinionated about it ('cause I can't stand people who preach).
I love having a quality beer or two with good people, but never ten (unlike my untamed youth!).
I'm in good shape (I love hiking, running, golf and swimming.... used to be a competitive long-jumper).
I try never to prejudge people, but sometimes I just can't help it (mullets!?!).
And I recently discovered that the poem 'If’ by Rudyard Kipling really sums up my attitude to life. Go ahead, Google it; if you've read this far, you might as well :) Oh and people tell me that I'm savagely good at doing accents.
I like to get around and see the world. Been to 28 states and 22 countries.... hopefully keeps me from developing too much of an Bay Area or Western-centric attitude.
I'm a die hard fan of Cal football and Ireland rugby having played both sports in school.
