My two big hobbies are flying and scuba diving. I have a private pilot license and I try to get in the air as much as I can. Flying is way more fun when you are in charge of where the plane goes. I try to go scuba diving as much as I can during the summer. Most of the time we go in the lakes around Houston or the river in New Braunfels.

I also spend a good amount of time traveling and sightseeing. In Houston I spend a lot of time working around the house, but I like to go to the parks and museums. I love kayaking and fishing, especially in the bay.

I spend a ton of time reading, either online or paper.

I work in IT at a local financial firm, so I have that whole ability to commune with computers thing going for me.

I'm happy with my career and it affords me a pleasant lifestyle. I own my own house and have a car that starts when I turn the key. I'm definitely not one of those people who chooses to live close to the financial edge and I've never been a person who will buy expensive things for the sake of owning expensive things. That said, I'm fine with paying more for quality.

I try my best to keep my life stable so that I have the time and resources to enjoy myself and I'm looking for someone that I can share these experiences with.

Books: I refuse to read 50 Shades of Gray... Other than that, pretty much fair game. Harry Potter is my favorite of the recently published. Les Miserables is my all time favorite. I have a good collection of history and nature related titles to go with my mandatory pile of aviation books.

Movies: I've probably seen every awful comedy flick you can imagine. Amelie was brilliant and there are some films from China that I've really enjoyed. I'll watch just about anything as long as it doesn't have sparkly vampires in it.

Shows: Doctor Who, South Park, Top Gear, The Daily Show, Walking Dead, Archer, and most of Adult Swim.

Music: Just about the only music I won't listen to is American pop or recent country music. Classical, opera, classic rock, or Asian music are my favorites. Listen to NPR quite a bit when I'm in the car.

Food: Fadi's is great in general. Christian's Tailgate has my favorite burgers. There's also a dumpling/Korean place I really enjoy in Chinatown. I'm no food snob.

Usually I'm at the pool getting in some exercise or having dinner with friends. About once a month I'll take the opportunity to get the hell out of Houston for a weekend.

I can't cook to save my life, but my house is insanely neat for a bachelor pad. No idea what that means...

Your favorite weekend activities involve something other than clubs or bars where you have to scream to hear each other. I'm happier sitting around the table with my friends and enjoying a conversation.
