My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a free-spirit who is looking to love, laugh, and go on adventures with a new best friend. Hoping to enjoy many things this summer: Beach bonfires, Catalina, the mountains, Camping, Disneyland, concerts, and watching movies at the cool old movie theater that I take care of.

Although I like to have fun, I know when to be serious and I am not unrealistic about life. I am not afraid to date someone who has felt lonely or hurt and I don't expect you to be without flaws. So you don't have to come with a "perfect" life and a big group of happy, well-adjusted family and friends. Just show up, be yourself, treat me with kindness, and that will be good enough for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Making art, playing music, reading, learning, and enjoying each day as it comes. I like Disneyland, nature walks, photography, and road trips to scenic places. I am also a huge fan of film and I'm seeking a movie buddy to watch old favorites with. I love the holidays and I hope to have a nice partner to enjoy them with again.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Art, music, Scrabble, reading, writing, and being a good friend and listener. I am an empath and seeking someone who is like me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I'm performing people often me that they enjoy my singing voice and that I play guitar well. I guess my smile and my eyes get compliments, too. And there are the inevitable comparisons to Jack Black...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
We don't need to be clones here. As long as there is a decent amount of overlap of interests, we can build upon that foundation. And if we are somewhat different, we can enjoy turning each other on to new tastes, sounds, etc. As long as you don't hate the things that I love, we'll probably get along fine.

Foodwise, I like Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Steak, Seafood, some Thai, and some Indian (not spicy though).

Moviewise, I love a good drama or period piece, as well as the classic comedies. My favorite films tend to be older, and from the 60s and 70s, but I like anything that has a good script, an intelligent plot, and a talented cast.

It would take a long time to list all of my favorite films, but if you like I can send you an excel list of all of the DVDs in my collection and you can decide from that.

Bookwise, I like ghost stories and biographies, but if you are passionate about certain authors I will gladly check out some new stuff. I also enjoy books of quotations because they contain concentrated wisdom and life-lessons. Aesop's fables was a childhood favorite that proved quite useful in life. Every kid should have that book!

I love the songs of the 60s and 70s, especially by singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan, John Denver, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Carole King, Neil Young, etc. The Beatles and Stones are great, as are the Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Gram Parsons, and The Flying Burrito Brothers. I saw Bob Seger in 2012 and he was awesome.

I don't care much for modern country, but I appreciate old- school country. I also like some reggae, blues, funk, and Motown. For hard rock, I appreciate Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, the Who, and some Black Sabbath. I am open to hearing the bands that you like, as well. I love classical music. I don't know much about opera or musical theatre, but I would like to learn.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could learn to do without many things, but I would be bummed if I didn't have:

1) Books (not kindle)
2) My computer
3) My vehicle
4) My guitar
5) Music
6) Movies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Love and finding meaning in daily existence. I am basically mellow and peace-loving and I don't want any drama or b.s. in my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On any given night (not just Friday), I enjoy dining out after a nice walk on or near the beach to watch the sunset. I am a movie buff, so I enjoy watching movies often. I am not into the rowdy bar or club scene, but I am not adverse to having a drink at a classy place with quiet music you can actually converse over.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am most attracted to someone who looks real, not all plastic and fake-baked. I don't care if you have a tummy. Curves are wonderful and I prefer someone to look as natural as possible.

-You have "Integrity" - you keep your word and you are not a flake.

-You want to date a fun, funny, creative type.

-You are unorthodox and not afraid to be goofy for laughs sometimes, but you can also hold a serious conversation.

-You are a movie buff who would like to watch classic films on the big screen.

-You aren't perfect and you don't expect me to be.

-You have a car and also time to do things.

-You love yourself and you have the ability and fearlessness to love others.

-You are not "high-maintenance"

-You are down-to-earth and looking for simple times with a great guy.

-You aren't going to try to change me - and I'm not going to try to change you.

I am NOT looking for a wild, drunken party girl or a restless busy-body who is always on the move. That said, I don't want to veg on the couch all day, either. I am looking for a good balance of activities.

I hope to find someone mellow, romantic, intellectually curious, yet full of warmth, affection, and romantic passion - just like me.

I want someone with both a BRAIN and a HEART who is introspective and reflects on life.

Call me a romantic, but I think it's a beautiful thing when two people come together and find happiness and acceptance again. It's a cold universe out there and life is short, so what are you waiting for? Perfection doesn't exist.
