Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up outside Fresno, so I appreciate being able to live in San
Diego. My hobbies include hiking, biking, working out, traveling,
and playing music.
I'm honest, trustworthy, and direct. I will do anything for my
friends. I love talking about politics and philosophy. My friends
say that I know more random facts than anyone they know (I call it
being "worldly", they call it being "nerdy"). I like dive bars and
live music (love the Belly Up and Casbah). I try to live by that
most important and often ignored rule, "Do unto others..." I love
to travel, both the big planned trips and the spur-of-the-moment
kind. And people say that I'm really funny, although I know nothing
in this profile would suggest that.
I'm looking for someone who is smart, witty, spontaneous and
adventurous. Someone who is active, shares my love of travel, and
appreciates all the things life has to offer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an RN working in a cardiac ICU. It's a second career for me,
and I love it. Prior to nursing, I got Economics and Political
Science degrees from UCSD, and I was doing litigation consulting up
in LA, which I did not love. My job is pretty stressful, so on my
days off I like to get out and burn off some steam, either at the
gym, hiking, or riding my bike.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Working on my house (I'm not quite ready to host a basic cable DIY
show, but I'm close).
Trivial Pursuit, or any game where an encyclopedic knowledge of
random and otherwise useless information is needed.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The red hair. Then the funny.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like to read non-fiction, like history, biographies, and science.
When I read fiction, it tends to be sci-fi or something
genre-bending (like Philip K. Dick or China Mieville). I like books
that are not easily categorized. Actually, I like that trait in
everything, especially people.
Movie and TV favorites are varied. I love "Louie" and "Parks &
Rec". My friends and I habitually find the worst movies we can and
have "Bad Movie Night" parties. I've loved everything that Joss
Whedon has done. BSG was as close to perfect as a show can get. The
Coens and Zack Snyder always deliver good stuff. So does David
Fincher, especially Fight Club and The Game.
My taste in music runs the gamut from indie to oldies, classical to
rap. Nada Surf, Neil Finn, Pearl Jam, Muse, Sam Cooke, The Mountain
Goats, and Coheed & Cambria are among my favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Apart from the obvious biochemical things like oxygen and
1. My family
2. My dog
3. My phone (there's so much music in there. It's crazy)
4. A guitar
6. My view of the bay from home
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The logic, purpose, significance and "why?" of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If there is a good band to go see, that's where I am. Otherwise I'm
with friends at a good restaurant or bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No, not going to just blurt stuff like that out to the anonymous
