My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Trying to summarize one's self is like shaving: you have to look in the mirror, and everything is a backwards reflection. But here goes...

I was born in Chicago on the South side. I grew up in Minneapolis, in the Uptown area. I moved to Milwaukee in 2007.

I've been a graphic designer and I've run my own business since 1986. I think a lot about anything and everything; I have a BA in philosophy. I enjoy conversation, and I'll talk about anything (even politics). I'm extremely candid and not afraid to share my personality. I have a wry sense of humor, but I'm not above silliness. I seem to have a knack at getting away with saying the things that others only think -- it's a blessing and a curse.

I write songs and poetry, and sing constantly. I sing in the halls, at the market, on the sidewalk, at the mall -- I sing. I enjoy the arts in (almost) all forms.

I'm an amateur photographer.

I like to cook and eat out. I'm happy to go to the local dive or a 5-star restaurant. I'm comfortable dressed to the nines, or hanging out in jeans.

I play golf when I can. I'm handy with power tools and I'm not intimidated by a large project.

I like to take aimless roadtrips.

I care about other people's feelings. I'm thoughtful and considerate.
I loathe stupidity and greed, thoughtlessness and callousness. I look around me and wonder what has happened to the world I grew up in? When did the bar get set so low? I hold myself to very high standards. I do the best I possibly can ALL the time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently freelancing and thinking about how to increase my business.

Growing wiser as I become more mature. Learning is the experience of connecting the dots. As one connects more and more, one is able to connect more and more exponentially (or is that logorythmically?). I'm seeking to connect as many dots as I can perceive.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My gregarious nature and outgoing personality.

I'm told I have a cute butt -- I don't know, I can't see it.

Authors: Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, Plato and Aristotle.

Directors: Hitchcock, Kubrick, Tarentino, Ken Burns, Disney and 100s of others.

Films: 2001 A Space Odyessy, Quadrophinia, and everything in between -- I don't care for modern horror films, zombies or slasher movies, vampires and werewolves, and the like. I do like a good musical.

Shows: Too many to list. All time favs-The Prisoner, Masterpiece Theater (PBS), Columbo. I watch all kinds of stuff, lately I'm enjoying Japanese anime. I love animation, be that old cartoons, Pixar movies, or hastily drawn flip books.

Food: Yes, especially Italian--oh, and a good steak.
