I spent over 10 years of my life working as an operations manager in the hotel industry. My life was pretty much focused on my career. Figured I'd have time for family after I established myself... Then, when I was 30, I was involved in a very bad car accident. I'm very lucky to be alive. I sustained several severe injuries, was placed into a medically induced coma for about 6 weeks, and both of my legs had to be amputated from just above the knee. As I'm sure you can imagine, this has changed my life in a multitude of profound ways. (As far as I know, I am the world's first pseudo-bionic self-professed Methodist Christeo-pagan Jedi). :) The story is amazing, feel free to ask any questions.
I walk on a pair of high-tech prosthetic legs. I use a wheelchair when it benefits me (at home, big environments like the Chidren's Museum, or amusement parks where the chair gets my companions and I around most lines). I live on my own in the same house I was living in before the accident happened. With the exception of cutting my grass, I'm fully independent. It's taken some time for me to get there, and now I'm ready to let someone else in. Longterm, I want someone to build and share a life with that includes marriage, children, and pets. Short term, I want someone to take to fancy dinners, swanky events, and sexy parties. Someone to dance with (this will take practice). Someone to see romantic comedies and other date movies with. Someone to cuddle with on the couch. Someone to spoil with a night on the town or at the theatre. Someone to take on a spontaneous road trip or a planned vacation. Someone to cook dinner for...make breakfast for...experiment with... ;)
