My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an introverted, intelligent, fairly nerdy guy. I enjoy a great many things, and like trying new things, but don't generally have a lot of initiative for this, so i'm definitely looking for someone who's more outgoing who will bring me along for the ride. I love a deep conversation and find it very difficult to maintain small talk. I often get interested in something, pursue it vigorously for several days\weeks\months, then reach a point of satisfaction with what I've learned and lose internet.

I'm local to the area. I love being on the water, but i'm not really into things like hiking. I love food and try to pick up new cooking techniques, but when considering what to cook how long it will take is often a primary concern. I love sampling new beers (especially local) and brew my own beer at home. I don't drink nearly as much as those two sentences would imply.

I've recently realized that all those people telling me exercise makes you feel better were right, and i am have gotten back into the swing of hitting the gym regularly. I love hanging out with a small group of friends but dislike big parties. I enjoy doing "good deeds" but am really unhappy with how hard\annoying alot of the places that recruit for this stuff are.

I have a darker\twisted sense of humor and really enjoy comedians who fall into this type of category. I've seen every George Carlin. I also enjoy Joe Rogan, Doug Stanhope, Lewis Black, etc.

I tend to ramble and get my thoughts out of order if i don't take the time to write them down and purposefully order them :)

I've seen a few people posting MBT, which i find interesting. I am INTJ.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time (my boss is awesome and lets me drop to 32 hours for school) and working on an associates in Engineering currently. Hope to go all the way to a Masters.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not really great at much of anything. What i'm really good at, is figuring things out, so i can get by at most anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea what peoples first impression of me is. I'm not the most talkative person, so it's likely that.

Also, I'm extremely blunt. Most people don't like this it seems. Just don't ask for my opinion unless you actually want it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
TV: I really don't watch a lot of TV... But i absolutely love Mythbusters and Dr. Who. I also will watch most anything on PBS.

Books: I read fantasy as an escapist, and anything else that i find interesting. Fantasy wise i've read LOTR many times through, all of R.A. Salvatores Drizzt series (my favorite), lots of Terry Brooks, and was recently turned on to Patrick Rothfuss. For non fantasy i've read plenty of Harris, Dawkins, Hitchens. I also love most of Gladwells books.

Music: I love music and my taste varies wildly. I played drums for a brief stint, so good drumming always pulls me in, so does prog, as well as good lyrics. Some things i always enjoy: Tool (favorite), Rishloo, Mumford and Sons, Slipknot, August Burns Red, Indukti, Dark Tranquility, and country music radio (quite the wide swing no?)

Food: I love food. I love new food, old favorites done well, etc etc. I love trying things i've never had before, and still love plain southern cooking. I adore a woman who can cook and is adventurous in the kitchen, and i'll gladly kick in and help.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good food.
An internet connection.
A buffer in my savings account. Growing up poor does that to you.
Working automobile.
A good mattress.
My custom footwear.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
whatever is at hand... My mind is only ever still when drawn into a good story or song. Otherwise the gears are spinning away, dissecting the world around me (or off on some daydream if i'm bored)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually i'm at home. I'm not averse to going out to the movies, dinner, or a bar, but i prefer an intimate group setting. Not much on the bar hopping or party scene.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really annoyed with the number of people who just ignore messages. I understand most people won't be interested, but does no one feel obligated to give a polite no anymore? I must be getting old...

You're nerdy enough to love Dr. Who.
You're nerdy enough to love Salvatore.
You can become excited about something because someone who is excited about it pulls you into it.
If you're debating whether or not to message me, i'll give you a hint. I think confidence is both important and very attractive in a woman.
