Recently moved from Minneapolis and am digging the Chi-town vibe. Most days I just crunch numbers and do research on the stock market, but now that I am caught up to speed in my professional life I am looking for some out of work adventuring.

I have already seen a trapeze show in a warehouse somewhere north of the city, visited the WWII submarine, driven with the top down on lakeshore drive countless evenings and have frequented local watering holes like The Hopleaf, various bars in Wrigleyville, hit most places in Evanston and hung out in Hyde Park near the UofC campus with some buddies who are into Neuroscience and Neurotoxicology.

Plans for the summer are a new bike for getting around and a desire to see what this city has to offer.

I recently moved to the Chicago area due to a change in work. I currently spend my days in a "restaurant at the end of the universe" type scenario observing and documenting sub second stock market data before it all comes crashing down.

I have a few friends here already, but I am looking to expanding my circle to more like minded individuals in which to share life's experiences.

Anything I have ever put time and energy into... except speling.

My desire to want to be part of whatever is going on. I am rarely a passive observer and like a playful kitten, I always want to be in the middle of the action. Hogging the limelight is not what it's all about, but rather actually experiencing things as they are happening instead of just letting them happen around me.

Books: I tend mostly towards sci-fi/fantasy. Tolkien, Asimov, Neil Stephenson. When I was little, my parents would take my books away as punishment.

Movies: I enjoy a genuinely good movie. But love dark mind benders and horror films. Memento, Seven, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Serenity, Rocky Horror Picture Show are all prime examples of movies that I consider as my favorites.

Shows: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Firefly, Dollhouse, Twin Peaks, Family Guy, and of course South Park.

Music: Eclectic. I listened to classical and death metal all through HS and College. But I love Hip-hop, Rap, and yes even the occasional Country song.

Food: ALL THE FOOD!!1!!!

Drink: I love dark beer. and am beginning to appreciate the horrid peaty taste of a good scotch.

Utility knife (I am an eagle scout), music, problems to solve, good companions, water

How best to spend the precious little time we have on this planet.

Either coding up some new algorithm or hanging out with buddies drinking and eating good food.

Ask me anything, and I will probably answer truthfully no matter the perceived consequences.

You are smart, witty, love to sing and your idea of a fun time involves cruising downtown along lake shore drive either with the top down or via bike for some beach, swimming followed by museums and a nice dinner/drinks at various eateries around the Chicago area. I am always down for adventure especially if the involve horror movies.
