I'm an airline pilot and I live in Seattle. I have a pretty good life going, but I would like to find someone to share some of it with!

I'm fit, fun, funny, and young at heart. I don't take life too seriously and while I'm not actually Irish, I kind of like the old Irish saying of: "We're not here for a LONG time; we're here for a GOOD time!"

I grew up in Juneau, Alaska and graduated from Washington State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. After school I spent several years flying in the Air Force. I then spent a few years working as an engineer before I went back to flying for the company I work for today.

I like to play golf, ski, ride my bicycle when I can for exercise, and I like motorcycles too. I have a great appreciation and love of art and music so I love museums and galleries and live music. I can play some guitar too. I love to dine out, but I love staying in and cooking and entertaining too.

My friends say I'm a really great listener. I'm pretty liberal and laid back. I don't expect everyone else to think like me and I don't judge them when they don't!

Today, right now, I'm living in the moment, enjoying life, and having fun looking for YOU ;-)

Well, I'm really, really, good at flying a jet. I'm also pretty good at golf... not super great really... but it IS a passion...
I'm a good writer, teacher, learner, and explainer...
I am an expert sailor.
Let's see what else, I can ski pretty well, I build some great models, I can draw; I am a great handyman, I can do carpentry and painting.
And, ah, well... I don't know if I should say this here but ah, well, let's just say maybe if there was like ah... well, a candle-lit situation with a couch, and some nice music, and some passion...OH I KNOW!... I could just say I'm good at 'touching'... ;-)

My cool sideburns of course! Well, maybe that and the fact that I smiled at you? :-)

FOOD: I pretty much love all sorts of lively, spicy, cooking; so Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Indian, and these sorts of foods are my faves. Alternately, I do love juicy steaks, pork shops, briskets, macaroni and cheese and sushi too!

MOVIES: Pulp Fiction, Repo Man, Kill Bill, The Seven Samurai, A Fistfull of Dollars, The Sound of Music.
(I might just also say any Akira Kurosawa film, and really, any Coen Brothers or Quenten Tarantino picture!)

TV: Other than "The Amazing Race", and "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" I don't really watch much other than LPGA Golf and a few motorsports events like Formula 1 Racing, and Chasing Classic Cars and that sort of thing.

MUSIC: I suppose I should just say I have something like 3000 albums and discs and say there is a lot of different stuff in the collection. Mostly these days, I sort of switch up a mixture of 'Hard Bop' Jazz from the late '50's and early '60's, The Grateful Dead, Eilen Jewel, and a few classic rock bands. But it can vary!
Not big on the rap though...

BOOKS: I read mostly non-fiction. Lately I've been reading some cool things about the psychology of quieting your mind and increasing happiness through meditation. I sort of got into that after reading a good bit on 'sports and human performance' type psychology, and for a while before that I was reading quite a bit on politics and the economy... Like I say, mostly I like non-fiction, BUT... I LOVED 'The Hunger Games'!!!

You mean like, other than affectionate, loving, human touch? Hmm. I suppose my iPhone would be tough to part with. I'd miss beer, golf, bookstores, and bicycles, but really I'm pretty adaptable...

How 54 is the new 34, the zen of golf, skiing, food, hugs, You, making passionate love, being a black sheep, world peace, standard stuff I suppose... (Not necessarily in that order of course!)

Working! Well, at least that's how this month is!
