I live in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area. I was previously married for several years -- no kids. I live alone in a great community.
I very much value and enjoy family and good friends. Some of my favorite moments have been family get-togethers, gatherings at my house with quality friends and selected colleagues.
The people who know me well would describe my sense of humor as "sarcastic" and "occasional smart ass," yet respectful (It's true. I swear). I enjoy a little bantering with those I know well and love -- it's a sign of affection.
At times I'm quiet, reserved, and reflective. I like to relax, read and watch a little TV -- maybe take in a movie. However, I do get loud sometimes (I try to play drums). I do enjoy good, thought-provoking conversation. I have been described as "easy-going" with a slight affection for adrenaline producing activities.
I am good-hearted, driven, and adventurous

I have been a civil servant for over 16 years. I plan to remain a government worker for at least another 5 years, then I hope to move on to other interests. These include: travel, brew pubs, rock music, history... and other adventurous activities. Basically, I want to concentrate on doing more of the things in life that bring me (and my significant other) happiness.

I read a variety of books about a variety of subjects, including: history, biographies and autobiographies, crime action/drama, fiction and non-fiction, any book about my favorite rock band, books on beer... and anything else of interest.
The types of movies I like to see are similar to the subjects I listed above for books. In addition, I really enjoy a good comedy.
I'm a rocker at heart, but i enjoy a lot of soft rock, pop, country, a little rap, and even a little jazz... techno makes me sick.
My favorite food includes (but not limited to): Mexican, Italian, Thai, Chinese, and anything gastro-pub (of course).
