My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'll try anything once. I love cooking. I rarely use a recipe. I work better without a pattern. I color outside the lines, but play well with others. I love all things tech, I love learning just about anything STEM fields. I'm especially interested in open source software, security, social media, and learning my way around networking faster than my tween son. I have to admit here that I'm a diehard Apple fangirl, known to wait in line on launch day. I've always been better friends with guys than girls, but I have a mix of awesome friends in my life. I like glitter, long baths, and getting dressed up despite often being "one of the guys." I'm not looking for a one night stand, nor am I looking for serious relationship. I'm just dipping my toes in the water. I'd like to start with becoming friends. I cannot stress to you enough how deep my love for music goes. I'll see just about any show, given the chance. I especially love outdoor concerts and festivals. I was never much of a fan of TV or movies, but that's been changing. However, I'd rather watch cuddled up on the couch with popcorn than in a theater. I love small talk and deep discussions. I love photography, even if it's just shooting on the fly with my iPhone. I have a deep appreciation for arts. I enjoy volunteering for a non-profit. This is where I lose people..... I have a genetic disease that affects my collagen. I'm not always mobile; sometimes I have to use a wheelchair because my body "breaks" more easily than most. That being said, I'm one of the strongest, most determined women you'll ever meet. I've been through a lot, but no matter how much life has thrown my way, I've stood back up and kept going.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living every day like it's my last. Making art & appreciating the beauty around me. Teaching and demonstrating for my son that every single person is responsible for what they put out into the world. Taking every road trip I can. Driving aimlessly while listening to a new album. Trying new things just for the memories and experience because I don't want to miss the chance.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, learning, loving, and living like there's no tomorrow.
The first things people usually notice about me

a. What's the matter with Kansas?, Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs, Life of Pi, Choke, The Cider House Rules, The Namesake, Atonement, Underworld, King Leopold's Ghost, Deep Survival, Mountians Beyond Mountains (The Quest Of Dr. Paul Farmer,) The Abolition of Marriage, The Space Between Us, Reading Lolita in Tehran, The Great Influenza (The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History,) The Kite Runner, From Beiruit to Jerusalem, Shantaram, and Fragments. I read quite a bit about global politics, medical history, middle eastern religion, and chemistry. And most of what I read is non-fiction. Reading is my escape....

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about how important it is to hang on to the good instead of clinging to the past.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm either out to dinner with friends or watching a movie at home with the kiddo and/or friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I always hug goodbye. That way I know I left things on a good note.
