I've lived in the East Bay (El Cerrito to Oaklanad) since the late 80s, except for a couple years in SF & on Treasure Island. This Bay Area is my home, though I started out in a very different land of nice, yet homogenized people, in the desert. I've never found a strong inclination for religion, except maybe for an appreciation for buddhism.
My life revolves around being on 2 wheels of one sort or another, but mostly bicycling. I quite enjoy rock climbing and slacklining. I spend a lot of time in front of one computer or another (usually a Mac), without much regret.
I'm fairly pragmatic, laid-back, and present. I tend to question things and try my best to not take things for what they "should" be. I value being alone as much as with good friends. I like to geek on techy/interesting stuff & sometimes make things. I loathe and have less & less tolerance for tobacco smoke. Drugs are not a part of my life but have no problem with weed nor those who partake. Most sports don't really capture me, least likely are the typical american sports (the ads, the hype, blah blah blah).
I love to laugh, play, lounge about, cuddle, go for long bike rides, experience good music, and soak outside in hot water where the air is cold, or rainy, or snowy. I'm queer-friendly and lean somewhat towards polyamory. But, wow. I must have misunderstood a few questions on that Poly Acceptance Test. I'm totally accepting of things poly, just tentative on being myself.
I suppose I'm a feminist, but find it slightly odd to have to say so because that just seems like the way everyone should be. I guess I feel that maybe those who aren't should have to identify as being unreasonably biased.
I am geekish, kind, and present
If you're looking for an angry dude, move along. Nothing to see here. :-)
