I am optimistic, determined, and a dorkasaur.

My Self-Summary

Hopeful cynic. Relentless dreamer. Always trying to see the best in every person or situation. I'm all kinds of geek... I actually really enjoy working on data networks with the routing and the switching and the vlans and all that fun happy stuff. I'm pretty good with language skills and am trying to pick up my fourth language (first three are spanish, english and french). Mostly I try to enjoy the quiet moments in life these days, finding peace in mindfulness. I try to stay simple in an effort to better walk the eight-fold path, so there's really not a lot to me. At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. :P

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a college student again (like six years later...) working towards a degree in linguistics (please don't ask which language...) in lieu of a degree in cognitive science... some day, I'd love to be able to map out the actual thought process... someday...

I’m really good at

Being a smart-ass, among other things you may or may not find out about. :)

The first things people usually notice about me

actually, people don't usually notice me. Like at all. And I like that. :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a) I'm a fan of the classics, but I'm not averse to finding new stuff... go ahead and suggest something. Here are some of my favorites... The old man and the Sea and pretty much everything from Hemingway; The Great Gatsby; and the Sherlock Holmes collections. The Iliad and The Odyssey; Life of Pi most everything by Terry Pratchett and for when I just want to veg out on a book, Tom Clancy. Yes, I am That Guy at the airport. b) The Shawshank Redemption; Mr Smith Goes to Washington; Man on Fire; c) Aerosmith; Chopin; B.B. King; Hubert Sumlin ; Seether; White Stripes; White Zombie (but I can't really get into Rob Zombie's stuff. Weird.); Seatbelts; Shakazombie d) mexican and japanese. you gotta try a sushi taco at least once in your life

The six things I could never do without

Vital organs. I'm pretty sure there's at least six of them.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow...

but also... schtuff.

On a typical Friday night I am

probably at work, like most every other night. And after that's done... time for homework!!! Yay!!!
That's right people, I'm a regular whirlwind of raucous activity.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I teared up at the end of Speed Racer.

You should message me if

you think that irony is an adjective for something that's iron-like. So I can laugh at you. I could use a good laugh.
