I am a laid-back country boy, who enjoys music and fooling around with cars. I am a retired (medical disability, ask and I will be happy to explain) 8th grade teacher. Actually, I should say music is my life. I am a soon to be, but currently starving, Rock Star. I am co-owner of a music promotion and production company, so I spend most of my time playing music in various bands, or something else music related. I play Bass Guitar (usually Rock) and Drums (usually Jazz, R&B, or Blues), and I also run sound from time to time, and have been known to sit in with other bands of differing genres. I have also played in country, all styles of rock bands, and for a time was a professional classical percussionist. Becoming a musician to pay the bills hasn't made me rich (yet), but there are a lot of other jobs that aren't as fun, so it could be worse. Biggest thing about the career change was the life changes that went with it. I can't drink, I spend a lot of days sleeping (and a lot of nights awake), and my sports playing days are over. I am still a huge Football, Soccer, Nascar, and Hockey Fan though...

I am usually pretty open minded and easy going, but I hold honesty to a high standard and prefer people to be straight-forward with me. I would rather have the honest answer (even if it hurts) than to be directly lied to. I am an open book and have been called a "straight-shooter". I am very willing to bend over backwards for my friends to help them, but I hate drama and games, and avoid them at all costs.

Right now I am really trying to grow my business and get one of my bands to the "next level"

I was good at teaching, but I am also pretty good with music, technical stuff related to computers and music equipment, creating havoc, harrassing my friends, and otherwise being a class clown.

My big mouth, I am either saying something funny, or sticking my foot in it. A close second is usually my height (6'4") or shoe size (15)

If I answered this I would be here forever.... Basically I love all types of music, but usually listen to jazz, blues, or rock. I am not really into horror films, but everything else is pretty much fair game. As far as food, I "can't live without it" lol. I don't care for seafood, but most everything else is fine as long as it is cooked well. Books: I usually prefer to do something a book is written about rather than reading one.

If you are traveling at the speed of light, do you need headlights? Do they even work? Or... what instrument or piece of musical equipment should I buy next?

Either playing somewhere, going to see another band one of my friends plays in, or chillin at home.
