I am, for the most part, a quiet person. I'm a bit stand-offish until I become comfortable with the people I meet....I can be found in a sushi bar somewhere at any given moment...... I listen to NPR....In my 30's I purchased the entire body of Agatha Christie's work in hardback, with the intention of reading all of it if I make it to retirement age... I grew up in a highly-conservative social setting, but I'm not (conservative, that is)....I'm curious about people and what motivates them... I'm a part-time musician (of the self-taught, street variety), but an electrician by day..... I'm not the typical Southerner....I don't hunt (but I do enjoy the occasional fishing trip), I'm not into Nascar, I don't follow local (Ole Miss vs. MS State) or national (Super Bowl,etc.) sports, or "professional" wrestling ... I'm not religious... I'm not a fan of country music ( I do like some of the older country, but not the modern version).....I like: reading about history, the laughter and innocence of children, questioning, true acts of generosity (very rare...I hope I am wrong about this).... I'm not impressed by material possessions.....some forms of 'quality' need simply to be discovered and recognized...that is my quest. I'm a blue dot in a red state, but I blend in quite well with the local tribe....

Wondering what's next.....and bracing myself for it

you're not an emotional psychopath.....I don't wish to control or be controlled...I want to share...no mind games.... no players, please...life is too short to be wasted on bullshit....I should probably add that I'm not a good match for religious women...if you're looking for a mutual-respect experience, and hold honesty in high regard, and every now and then you like to laugh at life's absurdities... we might have something in common...cheers, and good luck to everyone
