My self-summary
Married and happy. Happily married. We are open to having other experiences in our lives too, separately of another, to keep the flame strong and interesting. And, because you only live once. I don't take this freedom often but am here to see where it may lead.

I'm tall, kind, easy, and talkative. If you met me I think you would like me. And if you didn't--in that way--I think we would still enjoy one another's company.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring out how to live, unfiguring it out, giving myself and others a break because we deserve it, and trying to enjoy this one life.

I bounced around a lot when I was a little younger. I've now been living in the Bay Area since late 2006 and beginning to feel like there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
I’m really good at
Reaching things on the top shelf, hiking up steep hills, fitting all the groceries in my backpack, crosswording, and reading how people are feeling.
The first things people usually notice about me
You tell me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lately I've been enjoying David Mitchell, Graham Joyce, Jonathan Lethem, Cormac McCarthy, and Margaret Atwood, but I'm constantly reading some book or other (usually fiction) and I'm the type to nearly forget the title and author as soon as I'm done. Only remembering when I see someone else with the book or in passing at the bookstore. I'm a library type for what it's worth.

As for music, I like a little of everything. Most into electronica these days. Some of my favorites right now are Ulrich Schnauss, Four Tet, Jon Hopkins, B Fleischmann, Lali Puna, Lapalux, Bonobo, Dntel, Caribou, Gold Panda, Blockhead, Boards of Canada, The National, Jamie xx, Hiatus, ODEZSA. I grew up listening to country and folk, turned to grunge and alternative as a tween and teen, and now years later have graduated to the beeps and boops of electronic.

Longtime listener of Savage Love, This American Life, and Radiolab. Those three podcasts keep me happy on the long drives and field days.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sex, bodies, mouths, positions, and new fun things to do. I'm adventurous and pretty unashamed.

More wholesome things: the people I love, why I worry so much when life is so good, my next next meal, the right cocktail for the right time, and lately why I work so damn much.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually something lower key.
You should message me if
You would like to say hello or chat. You don't really need a reason.

I'm searching for a new friend for something fun, casual, and of course mutually fulfilling. Let's say you just want to have coffee, nothing more nothing less. I think that sounds like a great idea. It doesn't have to lead to something more than friends.

I know the City isn't so far away, but for the busyness of life and time and distance, East Bay folks may be a better bet. Like with most everything though, my mind can be changed.
