I am honest, caring, and smart.

My Self-Summary

I'm newly "back" in the Bay Area after living in Orange County for the past 10 years. Dating is difficult no matter where you live, especially when you know what you want and you can't find it. I am trying to be more positive about it... otherwise, I wouldn't really be here, now, would I?

I am sort of a straight arrow, with a few curves. I don't smoke and I hardly drink. My idea of a fun evening out is dinner and a movie. I LOVE movies. I also enjoy shooting pool, bowling, comedy clubs (I love to laugh, but who doesn't - really), amusement parks, mini golfing, and traveling when I can.

The little things I enjoy are stopping at Starbucks and getting a White Chocolate Mocha... mmm...or snuggling up under the covers on a cold day... but I also enjoy texts from someone I care about. Been missing those lately.

I’m really good at

Smiling, being romantic, being on time, giving advice that I don't always take myself, being honest

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile and that I'm quiet around people I don't know.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite author is Dean Koontz (since I was a kid) but I thoroughly enjoyed the Twilight and Sookie Stackhouse series.

Some of my favorite movies include Tommy Boy, Night at the Roxbury, Pretty Woman, PS I Love You, Pleasantville... there are too many funny and entertaining movies out there for me to choose just one! Also enjoy the Blade movies, Underworld, Back to the Future trilogy, Wedding Date, I Love You Man, Dewey Cox...

My favorite food is Chinese. I also enjoy teppanyaki, Thai and Mexican food. Well, honestly, I enjoy all kinds of food, but those top the list. Pizza too.

The six things I could never do without

1) Chapstick (I've noticed more and more people are becoming addicted to Chapstick. I'd just like to say that I've been using it non-stop since 3rd grade. I should've bought stock...)
2) My mom/family
3) My friends
4) Love (just missing the romantic kind at the moment)
5) My laptop with internet connection
6) Showers (especially hot ones on cold mornings)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I worry a lot about a lot of different things. Not a great quality to have but hard to just turn off. My mind is always turning.

Maybe I should think more about how to create a switch to turn a mind off. A memory eraser would be kind of nice too. Time machine while I'm at it? ;-)

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with friends, or with my mom, watching a movie, out to dinner... it all depends

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am addicted to Facebook!!! But it is slowly diminishing it's grasp on me.

You should message me if

You are awesome! Hehe
My "ideal" man holds these qualities: smart, funny, caring, honest, loyal, romantic, assertive (but not aggressive), ambitious, is cute (to me)... Must love movies and enjoy nights at home just as much as a random night out. A true gentleman doesn't hurt either. Non-smoker, light (or non) drinker strongly preferred.

Oh... and I prefer to meet within like a week of talking. Better to see if we actually click in person than to waste our time online for weeks. Know what I mean, Jelly Bean?
