I'm Ronnie...or Ron which ever you prefer. I am a student at Fresno State where i major in Criminology. As well as going to school, i work full-time. On my free time i play indoor soccer and practice martial arts, so i stay pretty busy, which is why I'm trying this out.

I'm a pretty independent person, I have been providing for my self since i was 17, which i take pride in. I feel that the greatest achievements are self earned. I consider myself a hard worker, though I'm quite the procrastinator.

Since i can remember martial arts has been a big part of my life. I started when i was 9 and have loved it ever since. When i got into high school i got caught up in sports and the high school life and didn't make the time to keep practicing. So my senior year, my friend and i came up with the crazy idea of going to China to practice martial arts. We both saved up for a year and to everyone's surprise we followed through and spent eight exciting and eye opening month at our teacher's home. I made some amazing friends (see picture) and learned a lot about their culture. Not to mention i did a lot of training haha.

Since i got back from China i have been living with my best friend and my brother and going to school, majoring in Criminology. I chose Criminology because i want to help victims of crime as well as teach practical self defense. I think its everyone's right to feel secure and should know how to defend themselves.

Some other random facts: I like going on walks at night to clear my head and think things out. I don't go anywhere without music. Some of my favorite bands are: Angels & Airwaves, Jimmy Eat World, Killswitch Engage, The National, Dredg, System of a Down, and Metallica....if you listen to any of these bands good for you. And if you don't, and i get to know you... i will try and make you haha. I like books and movies with heroic characters. I have given many religions a try and have found them all inadequate. I am not at all religious and if you're not either good for you, and if you are and i get to know you i will try and convince you not to be =]. Don't get me wrong, I am a person with morals, but they are based on my own conclusions not of mystic doctrines. One of my biggest problems with religion is the evasion of responsibility. People say that God is responsible for your fortunes and achievements, and that you are to blame for the bad in your life. I thought this way when i was young, because its what society told me. I think that people should take responsible for their actions, take charge of their life, leaving it in their own hands and not in God's. People are capable and fully responsible for great good and evil.
