Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am looking for attraction on multiple levels. I avoid unnecessary
drama, life has enough unknowns. I value staying active and fit,
mentally and physically. I'm am compassionate, trustworthy and
honest. I live North of Lake Merritt and am looking to date or a
relationship in the East Bay within 10 miles or so. Finding a life
partner would be great but that cannot be forced at the beginning
of a relationship. A relationship with real trust, respect,
forgiveness and great kissing would be remarkable.
I can make you laugh, if not we shouldn't see each other. I am a
good listener and appreciate being heard, talking to each other and
not at each other is important. I value clarity.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Some very difficult events in my life have lead to new venues. I
ceased speculating actively in financial markets, earned an AA in
Paralegal and English but decided not to pursue that. Recently I
have taken up playing guitar again after a long break, challenging
myself in developing a solo fingerpicking guitar style and writing
original material. I exercise regularly, am involved in local
politics, read a lot (non-fiction), tend to my yard, take long
walks, road cycle occasionally, like some sporting events, and
accept that my cat is nuts, I I like goint to museums, day trips,
beaches and other cultural events, and would like to share that
with a friend-companion-lover-partner. I'm also very good at
hanging out. I am honest, direct and articulate; I value that in
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I was a professional musician for 20+ years and a professional
photographer, so I'm good at both. I'm good at listening if I'm
being talked to and not at; I will give you the same courtesy. I'm
good at staying calm and am quite reasonable. I'm very good at
taking you as you are.

"The Third Man" my favorite movie. My musical tastes are as varied
as Pavarotti to Miles Davis; Chet Atkins to James Brown. There is
no wider groove than "Cold Sweat" nor better arrangement than
Nelson Riddle's "Summer Wind" behind Sinatra. The recent Adele hit
"Someone Like You" is an excellent, well done Pop Hit with real
emotional content; then I listened to more of her stuff and found
it to be pablum. My point is that I seek what I consider excellent
in the work itself.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would be leery of anyone who revealed an intimate private aspect
of themselves here. One's inner self should be shared with those
you trust, know and love.

There is interest and you want to check it out. You should be
comfortable in your own space, be able to respect mine and very
much enjoy being together if it works out. I'm not into digital
relationships, Facebook is fine; face-to-face is much better.
