My self-summary
Hey there,

I'm here looking for new friends (and more, but friends first). So if your just messaging me because you want to just have casual sex, don't bother. I have more entertaining things to do than sleep with strangers.

If you are: A sincere person who looking to have a friendship with me, which may possibly lead to more...then by all means! Read-on!

On first impression, I may appear to be slightly distracted. I find beauty in all things, and so I find such things to be rather distracting; You know what I mean? :P

Don't bother if you think that war, hatred, prejudice, and so on are good things. They aren't. Trust me on this one.

I'm into LGBT rights, saving the whales, staying reasonably healthy, and all that hippy crap. It's cool if you aren't, but if you are anti all that, we probably won't hit it off. Exception: I like to eat meat. In moderation of course, but I'm not a veggie.

Once upon a time, OKC made us all write three so-called adjectives to describe ourselves. Then they moved it into this section. Apparently, I am easily distracted, and, and oh look a butterfly! It doesn't give quite the same ambience when it's demoted from the headline position.
What I’m doing with my life
Answering OK Cupid match questions.
I’m really good at
...looking younger than I really am. No, seriously. I still get carded when trying to buy alcohol. It used to be annoying, but it's becoming a nicer and nicer thing to happen as time goes by, I'm flattered you know?
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair is a mess. Always. I never know what to do with it. I really wish it were naturally straight. Even naturally curly or wavy would be nice. But naturally messy? wtf happened there?

You should be thankful you don't have hair as difficult as mine to work with! But its ok.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Stuff I want to see in the near future: Paul, Wicked.

Recently Seen: The Adjustment Bureau. It's a philosophical puzzle posing as a thriller posing as a chick flick.

Books: ok, authors, not books. Terry Pratchett Yes I am into fantasy novels a bit! Neil Gaiman More of a simplistic fairy tale-ish fantasy writer. Isaac Asimov I enjoy science fiction! Heinlein The amazing thing about science fiction, is that many of the ideas expressed in them come true!

Movies: Edward Scissorhands. First film that ever made me cry. (What can I say?). Also Lady Under the Water, Let the Right One In (enchanting child vampire story). Coraline (saw it not too long ago, its awesome and endearing), Lord of the Rings Of course an excellent film. Beetlejuice. I think I have a soft spot for the "fairy tale" genre. Fairy tale does not have to mean fantasy. I think its the childhood innocence of the books that captivate me.

Music: eclectic, odd, and bizarre. I have slightly different tastes from the average Jane :P For example, Yamboo's cover of Kalinka, They Might Be Giant's Istanbul, DJ Ozma's Bounce, Beautiful South's Song for Whoever, Billy Joel's Piano Man, Deirdre Flint's Boob Fairy, Toy Box's Superstar, Voltaire's Goodnight Demon Slayer, William Shatner's Common People, Leveller's Julie, Shang Shang Typhoon's Odoryanse, SMAP's Only One Flower, Tatu's Robot. REM's Everybody Hurts. All over the place, isn't it?

Food: Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Mongolian, Lebanese. It's all good. Anything that's spicy and really fills you up with that warm feeling in your stomach.
The six things I could never do without
Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, chicory, sugar, and coffee.

It may not be the spice of life, but the mixture makes for awesome coffee!

Update: Apparently, I can do without coffee. Due to a bad reaction that has been traced to caffeine, I have had to all but give up coffee. Just like alcohol, I'll still take that drug socially, but not in private or as a sop to cravings.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why do people put "fun-loving" on their profile? Is it to distinguish themselves from those who are not only misery-guts, but bold enough to admit to being misery-guts on a profile that is supposedly intended to get people to meet them?
On a typical Friday night I am
Holding my breath for hours upon end.

(And if you believe that, I have a lovely beach-front property in Shropshire that you may be interested in purchasing).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am scared of heights.

I am into old-school dungeons and dragons, as well as a few other pen & paper role-playing games.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 28–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
1) Please be similar in age to me. Wrinklies need not apply.
2) I don't like bald heads or pot bellies. Important exception if you can do the "Yul Brynner" look well.
3) I will not reply at all if I cannot see your face clearly in your picture.
4) Also, it helps if your profile is at least semi-complete if you are going to contact me. I like to have some idea of who you are. That's the one advantage on-line dating has over meeting random drunks in the park.
5) I am open to friendship (and more?) from women. Don't be shy about contacting me :)

I'm pretty open-minded, willing to talk to most people. But there are a few things that completely drive me up the wall.

Get in touch if you are a film producer interested in helping me get a TV miniseries concept onto the small screen. We (me and an associate) have a script ready to go.

Don't bother if...

...you can't spell.

Slightly related, we probably aren't going to be able to have a deep and meaningful relationship if you aren't reasonably fluent in English. Believe me, I've tried relationships where the common language was somewhat "broken". Shortly afterwards, the relationship inevitably was too. (note: if you can read all this without resorting to a dictionary, you're doing fine).

I'm unlikely to write to you first. I'm weird that way.
