My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I tried to take a Myers-Briggs personality test, one of those ones that tells you you're a type INFJ or ESTP or whatever. I got bored and quit halfway through, and the damn thing told me I was type ADHD.

I love games (card, board, tabletop...). Scrabble is a favorite, as are rummy, Munchkin, and word games like Catchphrase or Scattergories. I'm not good with video games or anything involving hand-eye coordination, but I enjoy the hell out of trying.

I'm queer and poly. I'm currently happy with my romantic and sex life, so I'm just here looking for friends. You don't have to be queer or poly, but open-minded and nonjudgmental is a must. Running buddies would be awesome. I am NOT interested in threesomes, dating a couple, or casual hookups.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for a popular website. I try not to see it as "what I'm doing with my life", more like"what I'm doing that enables me to do what I want with my life".

I'm learning programming... not as quickly as I'd like.

I like to travel, and take at least one vacation and a few weekend trips every year. In the next few years I'd like to go to Seattle, Thailand, San Francisco, Bhutan, and Costa Rica.

Play is important to me, whether it's skill toys, games, dance/movement play, wordplay... Experiment, interact with your surroundings, exercise your brain!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, making large quantities of bourbon disappear, building/making things (anything from clothing to houses), finding lost things, inventing facts that turn out to be true.

A few things I am terrible at but love anyway:
Soccer, singing karaoke, and painting.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My giant mountain-man beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Anything by Terry Pratchett (but especially Soul Music) or William Gibson, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy", Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, Everything is Illuminated, Fight Club, Snow Crash, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Catch-22, Animal Vegetable Miracle. Emphatically not a fantasy fan.

A few comics/graphic novels: Watchmen, Jimmy Corrigan the Smartest Kid on Earth, Sin City, Ramayan 3392 A.D.

Some favorite films randomly off the top of my head: Blade Runner, Watchmen, Up in the Air, Snatch, Pirate Radio (mostly for the music), American Beauty, The Life Aquatic, The Salton Sea (Jesus Christ, Terence Blanchard's version of "Saeta"... chills), Four Rooms, Coffee and Cigarettes, Brick, The Machinist, THX 1138, The Jacket, Thank You For Smoking, Visioneers, and the new Batman films.

I enjoy stunning visuals (lighting geekery carries over from photogaphy), graphic violence, strong soundtracks, and being tripped the fuck out. I like comedy, but it tends to be dark, and it tends to be "movie about something else that happens to be funny" rather than "movie that solely exists to be funny".

I like music. I can come up with at least one example of something I like in every genre. Although lately it's been an awful lot of soul, funk, and jazz. Lately I've been reconnecting with my roots and listening to country.

I'm fond of later Beatles albums, the Rolling Stones pre-1980, anything blues or soul-inspired, and classic American rock. Radiohead, The Clash, Louis Armstrong and Outkast will always have a place in my playlist. Cannot listen to a Ludacris song without moving my ass. Otis Redding makes me cry every damn time.

My friends have been attempting to teach me about electronica. So far they have been unsuccessful, other than determining that I like the ones that are remixes of songs I know, and that I cannot abide psytrance. We shall see if I turn into a raver kid yet.

I like food. I consider myself a pretty good cook, though my baking skills are not spectacular. Some of my favorite foods are hummus, fried chicken, Reuben sandwiches, tomato soup, meatloaf, steak (medium rare or GTFO), and Pad Thai. A few of my favorite Atlanta restaurants are Woodfire Grill, The Earl, Eclipse di Luna, TaKorea, Six Feet Under, Little Bangkok, Lee's Bakery, and Miller Union.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Red lipstick
Lighter fluid
My trusty hoodie
Pocket knives
Good stompin' boots
Cheez-Its
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How can I make this?
How could I make that thing better/more colorful/light-up?
I wonder what would happen if I...?
I should light that on fire.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sick with a fever.

Oh. Wait. That's Saturday night? Nevermind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really have a giant mountain-man beard. Ssh, don't tell anyone.
