My self-summary
I'm a mid-twenties white cis girl.

I moved to Montreal two summers ago from my hometown of Halifax, NS and I'm very glad I made the change (although I miss the ocean constantly.)

I'm anti-authoritarian/anarchist/feminist/anti-racist/anti-oppressive, but I'm constantly working on my shit. I try hard to recognize and work with the privileges I have, but I'm constantly learning.

I'm NOT interested in hooking up with couples! Please don't contact me if that's your aim!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working close to full time at a bakery right now. I guess I would call myself "a baker", but I don't really consider that to be what I'm "doing with my life".
I play in a few bands, I help organize DIY shows, I'm a piercer, I take a zillion photos, I ride my bike, I have a vegetable garden, I brew beer and soda, I make zines, blah blah blah. I've often described my favourite hobby as just doing things the hard way.
Also to be perfectly honest I'm trying so hard to sound posi and productive and cool for this website, but the truth is I'm kinda jaded and critical and I spend a lot of time hanging out solo playing Chrono Trigger and pestering my cat.
I’m really good at
Baking, cooking, brewing beer, taking pictures, singing, crossword puzzles, tetris.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have blue hair at the moment, I'm kind of tall, I have a lot of tattoos, I'm covered in cat hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I worked in an independent movie rental place for 3 years, so I was fortunate enough to be exposed to some great stuff. I love documentaries, french and japanese films (including animated stuff!), Jim Jarmusch, Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Miranda July, blah blah. I like seeing new stuff and am interested in finding some more female directors. Maybe I am kind of a film snob. Whoops.

I like a variety of music styles! I like punk (hard core, pop punk, crust, power violence), metal (black metal, cheesy hair metal, Iknowthewordstoeveryironmaidensong....), acoustic jams (country, bluegrass, folk), and post rock.
I play guitar, bass, piano, and I sing. I've dabbled in cello and flute. Music is kinda like a big deal to me.

I mostly read non-fiction and essays. I have a really hard time picking up fiction and enjoying it, usually something in it pisses me off. I tend to only give a damn about real life issues, and fantasy characters. I did, however, just read the novel Nevada by Imogen Binnie and I've already leant it to 4 people but I kind of need it back so I can read it again because it's perfect.

Food is super complicated. I don't want to talk about it on here.
The six things I could never do without
coffee, a camera, a pen, a cat, a bicycle, a sense of security
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Really depressing shit, honestly. Things can get pretty grim in my own head.

other than that I think of things like "In order to get mass quantities of escargot out there, there must be big snail farms. I wonder what they look like...."
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably pre-drinking at a friend's house, then heading to a show at a collective-run DIY show space. Not trying to sound cooler than thou, I just don't really go to bars!

On chiller nights I'm probably watching cartoons and smoking weed.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can count on one hand the number of times I've washed my hair in the last 2 years.
