I am a Southerner born to northern parents, and it yielded the predictable love of collard greens, air conditioning, and old-time music that one might expect. I have no Southern accent except when singing. Also, I'm neither a religious zealot nor a homophobe, yet I often employ the linguistic convenience of 'yall!' Really, folks, it's the complete package.
More than anything, I want to be a full-fledged human being - living in my body and soul, doing meaningful work, and having genuine connection be a keystone of all my relationships. It's fucking hard to do sometimes! So many factors in daily life get in the way of being present, fearless, and focused. But it's important to me. Two people doing that together and loving each other -- that would be awesome.
+ Committed to being a good friend and an empathetic listener.
+ Pretty good-smelling, if you like the smell of coffee, wood-shavings and linseed oil.
+ A skeptic - in the sense of questioning almost everything.
+ A person of faith - in the sense of believing in love, beauty, morality and aesthetics, though not organized religion.
+ Seriously into emotional transparency and clear communication.
+ Competent at many things without being an asshole.
Kindness, integrity, and self-study are important to me, both in myself and for a potential partner. Really, everything else is secondary.
