Oh God, what to type here?
I like to think I'm a reasonably sane, functional person. I dunno,
let's see where the rest of this profile leads us.
What I’m doing with my life
I studied English and Russian at the University of Sheffield last
year, before switching to English Literature at Oxford Brookes. My
heart's still in Sheffield though, Oxford is dull. With any luck,
I'll be transferring back to Sheffield in September (I know, itchy
I can't bear to change my okcupid location to Oxford, so it stays
as good old Sheffield.
I’m really good at
On the useless end of the spectrum, I can offer you pointless
trivia about old tv shows and terrible/awesome dancing to
Ooh, I'm also a huge map geek. Maybe I should have done geography?
Alas. I can point out pretty much anywhere on a map and identify
most flags though. Useless skills ahoy! I can also read nautical
charts since I joined the University Royal Naval Unit (fun
Oh, I'm pretty sure I'd be really good in a zombie
apocalypse. Let's say that's my niche.
The first things people usually notice about me
My face, unless they hear me coming. If I've had a few drinks then
probably my voice. If I've had a lot of drinks (or no drinks at
all) then maybe my lack of clothes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll let the book/DVD shelf above my head do the talking.
Various Stephen Fry novels, the LoTR collection (not just the
trilogy), Nineteen Eighty Four, A Wrinkle in Time, various Jack
London novels, a few history and alternate history books. There's
also a little book of calm and a brilliantly purple copy of Angus,
thongs and full-frontal snogging.
DVDs: Green Wing should be here, but I let a friend borrow it.
There is Black Books, Doctor Who, Cowboy Bebop, various Nicholas
Cage movies, random 90s action movies and The Lion King.
Music and food:
Well now if there was any food on my shelf then that would say a
lot about me. There isn't, but I suppose on the right day there
Music? Too much of a variety to list, it really depends on my mood.
I have gotten into dubstep a lot recently though.
The six things I could never do without
The internet, my friends, tea, books, Bill Bailey and the
occasional lemon cheesecake.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The end of the world and history. I digest postapocalyptic fiction
(especially zombie stuff) like there's no tomorrow (oho!). History
too. Alternate history fiction that ends in an apocalypse pretty
much presses all of my buttons.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching Doctor Who? Next friday I might be poking around an
abandoned building. Urban Exporing! Can't really call it a hobby
since I've not tried it yet, mind you.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I already told you I own Angus, thongs and full frontal snogging. I
also told you that I'm occasionally naked, what more do you
Alright, I'll bite. Sometimes I-
Aw hell no. I gave you enough.
You should message me if
Pff, if you think I'm worth messaging? I'd do no less for you.
