Hello internet people of the world!

I come in search of internet pen pals, random conversations, and interesting strangers. So if you just want to say 'hello' or 'I'm a lizard, lets talk about space' that would be awesome. I'm not going to meet up in real life so sorry if that puts you off. I'm not all that into reality. Because I'm a mermaid.

I don't really live in New Zealand (though I did for a while.) I live in Quebec, Canada, but don't want to be 'matched' with people there, I want to make faraway friends!

I kind of come and go here at odd intervals, so sorry if I seem to be ignoring you, that probably means its nice outside.

I'm strange, but not really intentionally. I just exist without filtering my personality because it makes me happy, and seems to make other people happy too.
My basic philosophy is that if you try to be perfect you fail and end up boring, but if you try to be special you might fail, but will end up interesting. The result of this is that I'm sometimes inconveniently enigmatic but also often entertaining to be around if you can follow erratic thought processes and conversations.
I don't really judge anyone, and I promise I'm not saying that to be pretentious. I just find people interesting. I don't like everyone I know, but I also don't hate anyone, and I'm sure I don't understand anyone, although I like to try.

About me:
-I like to write and act and do art, listen to music, swing, imagine, create worlds in my mind.
-I like spontaneity, if you have a random thought while reading this you might want to share, tell me. I enjoy honesty, no matter what it's about
-I like the world, it's beautiful, although broken.
-I like standing outside in thunderstorms, I dislike the rationality that makes me come inside when I'm told to.
-I leave notes of anonymous love to strangers on buses/benches etc.
- I would like to live in the sky.
-I really really want to be a time traveller

I'm existing in the gap between figuring out what I want to do and waiting for it to happen. I want to be a writer and an artist and to travel and do everything else as well. Right now I go to university for creative writing which is a lovely way to be productive while not actually working my way towards a credible job. I want to be a poet and live in a tree house, so basically I'm looking into ways this might happen and finding other ways to be happy until it does.

I would say imagining. Other people have said poetry and other creative writing, art, photography, wearing interesting clothes, noticing and pointing out glittery things, and saying really odd things without realizing it. I can also do a hand stand without turning upside down (which sounds much cooler than it is, but let's face it - it sounds pretty cool.)

That would really depend on the situation. Here are some possibilities:
-My hair is really long, and sometimes I tie ivy in it
-I spend unreasonably long hours swinging, often late at night, even in the rain
-I'm usually dressed in rainbow clothes at least once a week.
-I spin around for no reason sometimes. A lot.
- I get suddenly really hyper after reaching a certain point of tiredness

Music... I wish I could make it but I can't. I like music with spirals in it. This is a bit hard to explain. Examples of stuff I like are: Radiohead, Dresden Dolls, Regina Spektor, Belle and Sebastien, musicals, Loreena Mckenitt, The Stars. And I also listen to spoken word stuff.

Books!
Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games, Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy, Ender's Game, Hexwood, The Chrysalids, the Tortall series, Time Traveller's Wife, Ella Enchanted, The Golden Compass, Beauty, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, the flower fairy books (I like the pictures)...generally I like sci fi and fantasy that is full of ideas I never thought of.

Other: I also read xkcd and post secret.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, V for Vendetta, Serenity, Pirates of the Carribean, St Trinians, Thumbelina (because it shaped my childhood)... other things I can't remember
TV: Firefly, Doctor Who, House, True Blood, Blacks Books, Glee, Merlin, Bones

Food: Basically anything, I have favourites but I also like trying new things. I love frozen yogurt. Right now I also really like lemon yogurt.

-ideas to have and words to keep them with
-things that light up, are shiny, glittery, or translucent
-the pretty, pretty sky
-freedom to think and the ability to do so
-my shadow. I would really miss having a shadow, I think it's beautiful
-memory

I would say the ocean, but I do live without it despite really not wanting to.

-planning my future tree house/underwater castle
-wanting to be hit by lightning at some point in my life
-being a mermaid
-going to space
-death (speculative not morbid)
-How awesome it would be to be friends with River Tam or Doctor who (or both! That would be the coolest spaceship party ever.)
-alternate possibilities for my life
-story ideas and worlds I've made up.

I can't think of anything witty to say here. So my next few friday nights will be spent trying to think of something awesome to do on friday nights that will make everyone think they need to rethink whatever marginally less awesome thing they were doing on fridays.

I can write in elvish faster than I can text. Literally. That's how much nerdiness there is here. (And not even the productive kind of nerdiness that means I can do crazy math in my head. I'm a nerdy hippie.)

Really, if you sincerely want to know anything about me I'll probably tell you. I don't keep secrets because I want to hide things, I keep them because I don't think people are interested or haven't figured out the right way to tell them.

Basically, if you want to, do it. If you're super shy, just say "hi, I'm shy, talk to me." Just the fact that I don't know you makes you interesting to me.

That being said, please no messages trying to convince me to meet you and/or give you my number because I won't and I'll be sad about wasting your time :(

Other than that, I apologize if I don't get back to you quickly sometimes, but I will eventually!
