I'm on a journey where I hope to be a better person each day. I
don't always succeed but I try. I keep myself very busy but still
find some down time that would be nice to have someone to spend
with.

I work at an animal hospital day practice where we do
spays/neuters, vaccinations, etc... I run a dog rescue, I have
several dogs, I own my house, I hate mowing my lawn, I love
music, I love my new phone, I love my friends, I love my
family, I love my dogs .. and i love your mom.

I'm from New Jersey. I've lived in Oklahoma for six years..

I'd like to get out of here and move to the mountains somewhere. I
love nature and scenic things.

Update: According to Okcupid, I have no chance of meeting someone
in Oklahoma I'm very compatible with. In fact, it's in my top 5
worst states. So, unless I want to be single forever, I need to be
open to the idea of moving somewhere else. Like Colorado (it was my
#1)

Also- Please read to the end of my profile if you have any
intention of messaging me. I'm SO serious when I say I don't want
to talk with you if you breed your pets or have animals who aren't
fixed. I'm just not interested. This is something that I'm
incredibly passionate about and don't have the energy to try to
convince you to spay/neuter your pet.

All I ask, is that you're honest. Just be a man, have some balls
and be honest.

I'm growing up. I'm learning how to be an adult and live life on life's terms. I'm currently deciding which path is the one I'm supposed to be taking and where I'm going. I like my job but I need something more. Trying to decide what that "more" is.

I've read countless books in my lifetime some of which I've remembered I've read. Others I've forgotten about. The shack is an amazing book. Borderline life changing. A very different book than what I normally read. I generally enjoy paranormal romance. Ya know vampires, werewolves, zombies. Things that are hardly real. Every so often I read a mystery or drama type book. I really like reading series. I enjoy going from one book to the next.

TV- Prison break, Once upon a time, Grimm, Touch, Glee, American Horror Story, True Blood, Criminal minds, Ghost Adventures, House, The Cleaner, Ghost Whisperer, The Dead Zone, Family Guy, Law & Order SVU, CSI, Cold case, ... I love the shows from back in High School days; Dawson's creek, charmed, Full House... etc..

Movies- Labyrinth, princess bride, Flight of the navigator, Across the Universe, Martian Child, Juno, Moulin Rouge, Rent, The Notebook, Crash... I'm not a "classic" movie buff, if you quote the typical movies EVERYONE has seen, I probably haven't seen them.

Music- honestly there's too many to give an accurate account of my music taste. It's varietal. That's really all I know. Ranging from Classic rock, 80's, 90's, indie, folk, acoustic.. etc. I love jamming around my house and listen to reggae-ton... it's so fabulous to clean and shake your ass at the same time..
Indigo girls, Dave Matthews, Florence & the Machine, Adele, Nickel Creek, Imogen Heap, MGMT, Boyce Avenue, a fine frenzy, Regina Spektor, Girlyman, K's Choice, the list is really never ending.. always evolving...

Food- I love a good steak, fish or chicken, I tried to be a vegetarian for a little while.. my body missed meat.. and wasn't ready to be full on veg... I love italian and mexican.. I'm open to always trying something once.. twice if I forget I didn't like it the first time..

1. my "kids" (aka 4 legged babies)
2. my fabulous friends and family (I'm allowed to squeeze 2 in here)
3. My phone- it's an extra appendage. And kindle
4. a sense of purpose
5. a comfy bed
6. a good "that's what she said"

why people don't spay and neuter their pets. and why they refuse to look at the problem THEY are creating. and how I can make a difference since you can't change people.

Also, how tedious dating is. There are guys on here, that I just over look, but if I were to see them in a real life setting, I might not over look them there. It's really confusing. I don't know. Dating is pretty exhausting.

Typical doesn't exist to me. I might be painting, hanging out with a friend or two, watching hulu or netflix while snuggling with puppies or trying to catch up on sleep.

That my dogs sleep in bed with me and I let them lick my face.. couldn't imagine a life where they didn't.

I'm a sucker for a manly man.. one with sexy scruff and broad shoulders, I'm also a sucker for tattoos.. not trashy ones.. but sexy ones.. how one determines that is all individually based.. so there. (this doesn't mean I'm vain and only will talk to someone who has this.. it's just a soft spot for me)

I'd also really like to date a guy that's crazy tall. I've never dated anyone taller than like 6'. Not a requirement, just a special request.

you have a genuine affinity for life. You love helping others. You strive to better yourself. You know that you were created by something bigger than yourself and respect that something. You don't need any substances to function and be you. You enjoy snuggling. You know how to treat a wonderful person. You enjoy being important and feeling as though you are. You love animals. You are honest and faithful. You are a good listener but can take the conversation on too. You enjoy the simple things in life, ice cream, cool nights, beautiful sunsets, snuggly puppies, touching someone's hair gently, holding hands, mac and cheese.

And you should message me if you don't have a million pictures of yourself on your profile where you either a. have 2 beers in hand b. make a reference to how drunk you were in the pic or c. are about to snort a line of coke... those would all be no go's..
* Also- if you say "no" on your page in regards to if you partake in drugs or not... if you smoke pot.. then you're lying. I hate to break it to you. I'm not talking you smoke pot every so often, meaning 1-5 times a year.. I don't count that.. but if you're a daily or frequent pot smoker... you do drugs. :)

and.. If English is your native language, please know how to use it. Your and You're, do NOT mean the same thing. Hear/Here, To/too/two.. you catch my drift. Not to say that i'm miss grammar USA but the word Height does not have a TH at the end there for pronouncing it with the "th" at the end of the word like.. heith. nope.. that's not right. that's just an example.... :) Not to say that it would be a deal breaker it just doesn't make you look that smart.

Please don't bother talking to me if you have a pet who isn't altered. Or you plan on breeding him/her. It's people like you I strive to avoid in life :)

You want to do karaoke and/or murder mystery dinners with me.
