I am curious, humorous, and shy.
My Self-Summary
I have a wide range of interests. I will admit that I'm a pro
wrestling junkie. My mom and grand-father got me hooked 25 years
ago. Yes, I know 99% of it is scripted, but that doesn't take away
from the athletic ability. Plus the added bonus that there are no
reruns in summer. My favorite vacation spots are Las Vegas and
Lancaster, PA. Can't get much different there, can you? Sin City
and the Amish :) I think some people have the wrong impression of
Vegas. There's so much more to do there than gamble. I go for the
entertainment and restaurants myself. I'm a diehard Pittsburgh
Penguins fan too. Not sure how well I would get along with anyone
who cheers for the Flyers!
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, work keeps me busy enough. I also help out one of my
dearest friends with a cat boarding facility that they own and
operate. So 3 or 4 nights a week you can find me taking care of
cats while their owners are on vacation. I have 4 of my own so it's
not that much different. I do make time for some fun though. I
would go nuts if I didn't...
I’m really good at
Bowling I guess. I was in leagues for years. Now with my work
schedule, I roll a few games when I have the time. Not a pro by no
means but I can hit 200 on a fairly steady basis. I like to keep
things organized too, although by looking at my desk nobody would
ever guess that! I can also crack my nose. I wonder if that could
get me on Letterman's "Stupid Human Tricks"?
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. When you're this tall, it tends to stand out :) I can't
even begin to describe how I feel when strangers ask if I play or
ever played basketball! Enough already, please! Although I've had
years of practice learning when to duck, I still come close to a
concussion every once in awhile...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The last book I read was Ron White's "I had the right to remain
silent, but I didn't have the ability." Not quite up there with the
classics, but I got a good laugh out of it. Movies? The Mummy
series, National Treasure, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry
Potter are in my collection. So are westerns such as Tombstone,
Young Guns, and 3:10 to Yuma. I never get tired of Indiana Jones. I
can watch those anytime. Musically I'm into rock and pop with some
country and oldies thrown in too. 80's music is my favorite. My all
time artist is Roxette, a Swedish duo from the late 80s-early 90s.
Seafood is tops on my dining list, but Italian, Mexican, and
Chinese are just fine too. I'm also happy with a burger and fries.
I'll try just about anything at least once.
The six things I could never do without
Some of these are cliche`, some are not :)
1) family
2) friends
3) vacations
4) coffee
5) cats
6) Roxette CDs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my future, where I can afford to go on vacation, the upcoming
Penguin hockey season...
On a typical Friday night I am
either out to dinner with my family or helping my friend with the
cat boarding business. I'm a real rebel, you know?
