Added 10/11/08: I'm not going to have sex with you! (unless we're
life mates- sorry David, I wasn't referring to you!). I am saddened
that I have to preface my profile with this, but I have been
inundate with messaged from guys who selectively read my profile
and want to get down and dirty. I am by no means a prude, quite the
opposite in fact (I'm usually in agreement with my OKC tests
results from in this regard) but I'm not interested in casual sex.
Been there, done that. I would be happy to become platonic friends
with a number of the people I meet here. However, my husband and I
are bisexual polyamorists looking for a bi poly man to form a
lifelong marriage. If you fit that description awesome, we would
love to talk, but even if we become friends we are not going to
have casual sex.
If you still want to know more about me, I welcome you to continue
reading my profile.
PEACE
Roxy
Added 05/16/08: I got into grad school! I start my PhD program in
the fall :^)
Added 01/05/08: Hi! Please be sure to read the "You should message
me if" segment at the end of my profile before emailing me. Thanks!
Via con Dios
I'm a multi-faceted
unique individual. In terms of
spirituality I'm a
Jesus-lover but not into the
organized-religion-hypocrisy crap. My
family is the center of my life. I have 2
incredible, beautiful, gifted
children and an amazing
husband. My husband and I
are
bisexual and
polyamorous.
I have 2 degrees in
biology and am currently in the 2nd year
of my PhD program in (you guessed it) biology. I am investigating
the water quality and ecosystem health of the Rio Grande. My
previous research has primarily focused on
conservation,
ecology and behavior. As a child I
dreamt of working with
dolphins and was finally able to do so
when I investigated the effect of anthropogenic noise on bottlenose
dolphin communication whistles for my Master Degree at
Texas A&M
(Whoop!).
I became involved in informal
science education
outreach and plan on eventually founding a
non-profit, hands-on science
camp for kids that will be free to financially-disadvantaged youth.
The camp will allow students to get out of the classroom and study
biology the right way- covered in mud, climbing trees and delving
into creation feet first with minds wide-open.
Cooking, esp. Italian, Mexican, Greek and desserts
Dancing(freestyle, belly, exotic) everywhere- in the car during
traffic jams, on table tops, in the middle of a rain
storm....
Vertical dancing- I'm a sex fiend. I think when a person really
enjoys something, communicates honestly about it and practices as
often as possible, you just can't help getting good at it. I
instinctively wanted to put this one first, but didn't want to come
off as too much of a horn dog. Even though I am one. Big time. Men
think about it every 8 seconds? Please, I do that while pondering
quantum theory, making lasagna and singing Metallica
opera-style.
Singing- I was pretty damn good before I wrecked my vocal cords
(try to avoid giving numerous talks for large groups sans
microphone for 3 weeks in the middle of winter while suffering from
a bad case of laryngitis. Seems like obvious advice in
retrospect).
making up dirty limericks and commericial jingles. I can make
anything about sex.
Punning and other bizarre forms of language mutiliation. Can't
think of a single clever play on words to write down, so maybe I'm
not really all that good at it.
Making people laugh. With me, at me, it's all good. Causing babies
to smile. and spit up.
Staying up all night...as long as I can sleep all day.
Listening and trying to put myself in someone else's shoes.
My smile. It starts in my eyes. Even if I'm totally depressed, I
just can't help smiling. Joy wells up at a steady trickle with
sudden surges of euphoria. Almost sounds like an emotional weather
forecast.
I love to read! Taught myself how when I was 3 and have barely put
the books down since. I love....
C.S. Lewis- Chronicles of Narnia, sci fi, retellings of mythology,
essays (yes essays). "The 4 Loves" and the one about grief.
Maya Angelou, esp. "I know Why the Caged Bird Sings" and her
poetry.
King David in the Bible. He was so real, so messed up, and yet a
man after God's own heart. I see both he and Maya as my kindred
souls.
J.R.R. Tolkien I have read him since the 6th grade, along with
Shakespeare (favorite playwright) and Edgar Allen Poe (not really a
favorite, but his stories stick in the mind.
Samuel Clemens, Ray Bradbury, Star Treck TNG novels. Charlaine
Harris and all the other authors who write vampires with depth,
intelligence, humor and passion.
Graphic novels, esp Stan Lee creations. I usually have something
Spidey at home, in my car, etc. I have an action figure in my
office. X-Men. I'm totally enjoying the Joss Whedon Astonishing
X-Men series. And his new series covering Buffy season 8.
Movies/TV: Anything by Whedon. X-Files. Heroes. Star Trek TNG
(Picard Riker in 2008!). Scrubs. The Discovery Channel. A lot of
things based on comic books. Braveheart, Like Water for Chocolate,
Across The Universe, Weird Science, Across The Universe, Breakfast
Club, The Zero Effect, Lost Boys, Super Troopers, Crouching Tiger,
Hidden Dragon, Blues Brothers....
Music: Everything except hardcore gangsta rap, some speed metal,
most country and all polka (hardcore gangsta metal polka is the
worst).
I love: Mo'town: (Smokey Robinson and Gladys Knight); Funk:(George
Clinton and the P Funk Allstars)
New Wave and
Punk:(
Red Hot Chili
Peppers,
Ramones Pixies, No Doubt, The Cure, The
Smiths, The Clash, New Order, Green Day (old stuff) English Beat,
Blondie, The Pretenders, Concrete Blond, Frankie Goes to Hollywood,
Peter Murphy, Depeche Mode and did I mention Red Hot Chili
Peppers?)
Classic Rock
(
Pink Floyd,
Janis Joplin,
Jimmy Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cream, Aerosmith, Led
Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, Lynrd Skynrd)
Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/
Alternative Rock: (
Creed, Guns N' Roses,
Metallica, Pearl Jam, Ozzy, Chevelle, Lenny Kravitz,
3 Doors Down, Pat
Benetar, Heart)
Reggae- (Bob
Marley, Jimmy Cliff, UB40)
Female soft/folk rock vocalists- (Patty Griffith, Kim Richey, Nora
Jones)
Blues and Jazz-(
B.B. King,
Etta James, Billy Holiday, Ella
Fitzgerald)
Classical and Opera (Bach, Vivaldi and anything baroque, Beethoven)
etc., etc.
Food: All things Italian (esp. lasagna, manicotti and pizza)
New Mexican (green chile enchiladas and fajitas)
Mediterranean, esp. Greek (veggie moussaka, dolmas, gyros, stuffed
peppers and tomatoes, galatobourikos, baba ganouch)
East Indian (mmmm saag paneer) Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and
Japanese, esp. spicy, not greasy and not raw if it once
moved.
Chocolate, esp. dark chocolate
Now I'm hungry. Pardon me while i run to the kitchen....
home with my family, trying to unwind from a stressful week and
looking forward to sleeping in until 11.
I have had sex in or on 3 buildings at my 1st alma mater. Actually,
I recently realized it was 4. I have masturbated at every place I
have worked at since I was ~17. In high school, I talked 2 guys
into dressing in my mom's lingerie so that they could see me in a
teddy. Lying between them, even w/o sex, was probably the 1st poly
moment of my life.
Friendship-wise: you plowed through everything I wrote, we are
>70% friends and less than 20% enemy and still would like to get
to know me. Male or female, it's all good. I have discovered that I
royally suck at responding to emails. I only answer a few each
week/month. So if you emailed me and I never wrote you back, I
wasn't trying to be rude or anything. I don't IM either.
Relationship-wise: You are a bisexual/bicurious male with a match%
of 70% or more with both my husband (profile: leizynm) and me, less
than 20% enemy with us and are interested in beginning a friendship
that might result in a long-term three-way (emphasis on guy-guy)
polyamorous "marriage" with us. Possibly if you are a
bisexual/bicurious poly female or a bi poly couple.
Please do not bothering messaging me if you want an affair, a
one-night stand, casual sex, cyber sex, to become my friendly
neighborhood stalker, to argue, belittle, condemn, or act as a
racist, sexist, homophobe, or any other type of bigot. Sorry, not
interested.
