My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New to SF and looking to meet people in the bay area. On the weekends I might be hiking up in Marin, or trying to come up with the next big business idea, or dancing up a storm with friends at Bootie.

Grew up in CT, high school in South Dakota, college at Caltech, and now writing mobile apps at a tech startup.

I love any type of competition -- whether it's board games with friends, table tennis, or entering an app in a hackathon.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning something. Building a career making mobile apps that delight people. Sitting in the sun at Dolores park. Creating Spotify playlists.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ping pong, quarters, listening.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Anything with a synthesizer is great. Add pop lyrics and we're good to go. Lately it's Dan Croll, Chromeo, Glass Animals, Phantogram, Flume, HAIM, The Cinema, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Washed Out, Chela, Mr Little Jeans, Giraffage, RAC to name a few.

Here's a random list I've been listening to lately :P

Northern Lights - Kate Boy
Embrace - Goldroom
All Eyes on You - St. Lucia
1998 - Chet Faker
Two Weeks - FKA twigs
Sleepless - Flume
Till Sunrise - Goldroom
High You Are - Branchez Remix - What So Not
Doin' it Right - Daft Punk

I appreciate hearing best-in-class recording engineers make music -- I'm a huge fan of pop too. Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake -- acts like this have a level of polish in their recent recordings that's not by accident.

Really looking forward to the Treasure Island Music Festival, which has an insane lineup this year. If Chet Faker, XXYYXX, Classixx, Washed Out, and St. Lucia aren't enough ... Massive Attack will be there.

Recently read: The Design of Everyday Things, Cloud Atlas, Reamde, Sherlock Holmes short stories and novels.
Of course the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Shows: Crime dramas, mainly: Game of Thrones, True Detective. Sherlock. Bletchley Circle, The Mentalist, the Up series, The Killing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A studio-quality set of headphones (my HD-280s)
A good album
My smartphone and my mac
A notebook (the analog kind)
Vim
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How my Spotify play history looks on Facebook.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
You might catch me playing tabletop games like Puerto Rico, Shadow Hunters, Coup or Resistance, or out getting drinks with friends in the mission, or hacking on a programming project before a deadline.
