My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there, my name is Ryan. I'd like to think I'm an easy going, down to earth guy. Back in high school, I weighed 285 lbs, and I lost over 110 lbs the year after, now I like to stay active. I enjoy going out to karaoke bars, hanging out with friends, cooking new and interesting things,, hiking, surfing, camping, running with my dog, tennis, bowling, and many other sports. I ride a motorcycle, and while gas prices are on the rise, a nice ride with no destination always puts me in a good mood.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing a few things at the moment. Working and going to school full time, I don't know how I still find time for more. I am currently an EMT, and I'm a volunteer firefighter up in Barona. I'm also going to San Diego State as a biochemistry major. I'm going to finish my bachelor's next semester, and let me tell you, I can't wait to be done.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been playing the trumpet for 14 years now, ever since elementary school. I've also taken guitar classes in high school. I'm good at talking to people, if that counts. I'm good at initiating conversations, even with strangers, thanks to being so outgoing.

Procrastinating. For example, here I am, typing away on this, and I should be working on my chemistry lab report. But I think that's the normal situation with most college students these days.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If a stranger comes up to me, 9 times out of 10 I get greeted with, "Hey you look like that one guy from Saved by the Bell" or "Has anyone ever told you you look like Mario Lopez?" I usually play along now, saying he's my cousin, or that never heard of him. It's still flattering to hear though :-) At least I don't look like Rob Schneider or something.

Other than that, I guess my outgoing attitude, my eyes, smile, and sadly, my big nose :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I enjoy many different genres of books, music and movies, and rarely come across food I don't like. (Hence why I used to be a house)

Don't think I don't still love food though, after the weight loss, I guess my metabolism was jump started, and I can still eat with the best of them :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Honestly, I could do without a lot of things, I'm not a very materialistic person. Sure I'd like to have my computer and smartphone and all that. But really, I don't need much to keep me happy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. Probably the most generic and common answer out there, I'm sure. Not necessarily mine though, but pretty much the future of the world. Technology's moving along so fast, I wonder where we'll be when I'm retiring....

..we better be in space by then.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Singing at a Karaoke bar! Honestly, I love karaoke. if you want to impress me, getting up and singing by yourself requires a lot of guts, and if you ask anyone, the most attractive thing about someone is their confidence :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, I weighed almost 300 lbs not too long ago, and now I have some pretty lame stretch marks and loose skin as a result, since I lost the 100 lbs in under a year. Between continuing to lose bodyfat% and working out to fill it in with muscle, it's gone down considerably, but without surgery, it's still noticeable.
