I am exactly what I look like: a single left-of-center, generally self-aware and slightly awkward alternative type guy who thinks he's witty. I'm heavily invested in activism and social justice work, but I try to remain easy to have a conversation with. I enjoy hearing other people talk about themselves and I like hearing stories.

I like people who challenge me to think in new ways and try new things. I'd like to date someone who likes the same thing.

What I’m doing with my life

I just graduated from grad school recently and now I do social work at a government facility. This is way less sexy than it sounds. But I help people and save lives, and I really like it.

I'm also trying to kick-start my writing, which fell by the wayside in grad school.

The amount of exhaustion I feel on Friday nights has been the surest gauge to me that I am approaching 30. Usually I'm making dinner and drinking a beer and sometimes chilling with friends, if I have been enticed into leaving my apartment.
