I am kinda dorky, kinda geeky, and slightly off.

My Self-Summary

Can't spell too well.

love horse racing and playing pool. The local OTB (Off Track Betting Parlor) in town shows races from all over the world , well they will anyway for about two more months, so I feel like I am a world traveler without going three miles from my house. like to go dancing too. have an accounting degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. own a Ragdoll cat too.

i have lost my job and am about to lose my hangout, so it hasn't been a very good year.

I am bi lingual. I speak English and race track form.

the art test on here didn't show anything that i didn't already know. I like impressionism and hate modern art. Monet, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh and others. I wanted to minor in art history, but the college of business wouldn't let me. It was kinda a sore subject between us at the time.

The Elvis test- i have a cousin who is 79 years old and will tell you with a straight face that Elvis is alive and lives in Washington State under the witness protection program . I worked with a man who would get teary eyed when you talked about Elvis. He COULD NOT say Elvis was dead even though he knew it was true. I worked with another man who was in Tennessee when Elvis died. He didn't know about it until the next day when he opened up the curtains to his hotel room and saw - flags at half staff, everything draped in black, and very few people on the streets. He thought President Carter had died.

I didn't like Elvis much when I was younger. I do now. I think he had some real kicking music. I have seen probably 6-7 Elvis impersonators.

The real Chicagoan test-
I don't hate the town . i just don't really care for it. The place is too big and moves too fast for me. I interviewed for jobs up there when I got out of school. i got caught in a rush hour and that was it for me. I decided to stay here. It is really funny because i didn't know this until I started school. There were many Chicagoans at school. This question is asked on the test. If you are are Cubs fan . you hate the White Sox and vice versa. I use to watch Jack Brickhouse and Harry Caray on cable, and often wondered what I would do there. I would run from the North side to the South side. I love the Art Institute and Brookfield zoo though. I use to take the train to the Art Institute. I hate driving in Chicago.

The United States Geography test:
That is the most interesting test on this site. I didn't know that The one state was above California. I always understood just California ( not the US) had one of the largest (top 10) economies in the world. Anybody who has ever been to St. Louis knows the answer to the one question. That does kinda stand out when you are down there.

Use to take vacations to art museums and zoos throughout the Midwest.

Just take the "silly" tests on here.

I can probably one up you with the life experiences I have had on just about any story you can tell.

For example, my pay stub got posted on the bulletin board at work for God and everybody to see my Social Security Number and Bank Routing Number. It turns out that the receptionist was mad at what I made, and wanted everybody to see for themselves. The business later tried the thing that businesses are doing today and tried to "get rid of me" without incurring the unemployment liability. When they found out they could hire someone for almost $10,000 a year less, i literally got shoved out the door. Seriously, I almost fell down the entry steps when they terminated my position.

I have some great ex husband and wife stories too. I have never been married though.

Genealogy is very interesting to me . I can trace one side of my mother's family 7 generations. I have stood at the grave sight of my great-great-great-great grandfather.

What I’m doing with my life

Well not much right now. I use to be a really high ranking official at a plastics plant here in Peoria.

I’m really good at

I don't know what I am good at. Not interviewing obviously.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I am kinda dorky looking. (ugly???)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love books about Central Illinois.

I am really into the heavy classic 70s rock sounds of bands like Led Zeppelin, Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, and Pink Floyd.

I hated hated hated hated country music when I was younger. I like it now. The older country. I do not like the newer country sounds with a few exceptions. I think that Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Toby Keith made really kicking music early in their careers and then made mediocre music when they became famous.

I have seen Genesis, Robert Plant, Neil Young, Elton John, The J Geils Band, Metallica, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe and many others.

All kinds of food really. I especially love pizza.

My favorite all time television show is WKRP in Cincinnati. I lived the show when I worked at the company named Peoria Plastics here in Peoria, Illinois.

I expected at any time for Abbott and Costello or The Three Stooges to walk through the door.

The six things I could never do without

my family, money, horse racing (going to be doing without shortly - our OTB is closing) , a job - although i have done without that for sometime now, music, food

I spend a lot of time thinking about

finding a job.

On a typical Friday night I am

I was at the local OTB betting on horses, but now i find that I am usually home.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

i am totally afraid of storms.

You should message me if

if you would like to talk.
