I mostly read non-fiction these days, even when it's not for
school. Mainlining philosophy rather than diluting it with
literature seems to be the pattern: John Stuart Mill, David Hume,
Baruch Spinoza, etc. The realization has struck me lately that I'm
not nearly as well read as I'd like to be. There's going to have to

TV shows: The Simpsons, South Park, Daily Show, Colbert Report, The
Sopranos, Trueblood occasionally, I can't watch an episode of It's
Always Sunny without nearly pissing myself, Curb Your Enthusiasm,
Movies: Anything by the Coen Brothers; Lord of the Rings; the
Godfather series, Goodfellas, Scarface, and other gangster movies;

My food tastes are too eclectic to even begin to discuss.
Music: Some hip-hop, including Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def,
Asheru, and so on; some rock, including the J. Geils Band, the
Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival, and others; some folky stuff,
like Starland Vocal Band; and a select bit of country, like Charlie
Hiking is one of the most rewarding activities imaginable; coming
to the crest of a hill and seeing a beautiful waterfall is
unparalleled in my books.
