My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Jack of few trades, but a master of some.

I might as well put this at the very top here: if you're two female roommates interested in finding someone to be your "third," whatever that means, IT'S NOT ME! Receiving message after message of that nature has really begun to wear on me...

-Former elite road cyclist, current leisure cyclist; the exceptional rider rule applies to me for Little 5, so I celebrate by blacking out like everyone else
-Coen Brother movie connoisseur
-Larry David enthusiast
-Aspiring, but erratic, chef

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to school, majoring in political science, law school being the end game. However, I'm gonna take a year off after graduation to go to Europe and such.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, missing uncontested layups in basketball despite being tall and reasonably athletic, pedaling (bikes but also pedal boats. It's a truly multi faceted talent).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My curly hair. I've heard it said that I look like a cross between Will Smith and Screech from Saved by the Bell. Personally, I'm hoping for a little more Will Smith than Screech, though...

I mostly read non-fiction these days, even when it's not for school. Mainlining philosophy rather than diluting it with literature seems to be the pattern: John Stuart Mill, David Hume, Baruch Spinoza, etc. The realization has struck me lately that I'm not nearly as well read as I'd like to be. There's going to have to be a dedicated period of reading the great novels I've not yet gotten to. In the meantime, I can say I've immensely enjoyed Midnight's Children, Animal Farm, 1984, Clockwork Orange, Farenheit 451, Galapagos, and many others. There was a period when I was younger where Tolkien books consumed my thoughts on a daily basis, so I still have a big soft spot for him.

TV shows: The Simpsons, South Park, Daily Show, Colbert Report, The Sopranos, Trueblood occasionally, I can't watch an episode of It's Always Sunny without nearly pissing myself, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld

Movies: Anything by the Coen Brothers; Lord of the Rings; the Godfather series, Goodfellas, Scarface, and other gangster movies; Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind; Raising Ned Devine; Blazing Saddles

My food tastes are too eclectic to even begin to discuss.

Music: Some hip-hop, including Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Asheru, and so on; some rock, including the J. Geils Band, the Beatles, Credence Clearwater Revival, and others; some folky stuff, like Starland Vocal Band; and a select bit of country, like Charlie Daniels.

Hiking is one of the most rewarding activities imaginable; coming to the crest of a hill and seeing a beautiful waterfall is unparalleled in my books.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hot sauce
Dryer sheets
Ironic platitudes to describe every situation
Playing the song "First of tha Month" when I wake up on the first day of each month
Balsamic vinegar and olive oil (combo!)
My dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Food. And whether or not Tony Soprano got wacked.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Possibly at the bars, possibly finding an adventure, possibly asleep before 10
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I had a budding career as a gangsta rapper in high school
