i'm originally from chicago's north suburbs, and the north side, and have also lived on the west coast, in california & washington state.
i moved to n.w. indiana about 9 years ago, with the idea that i would eventually move back to chicago or move elsewhere... i'm still here.
it's sort of like living in a far south suburb, but not quite the same; there is stuff to do, and places to go, like white castle and church... but there's also record shops, guitar shops/music studios and the greatest, small, used bookshop- you have to enter from the alley...
oh, and i live about 45 minutes from the north side of the city by car or train (yes, there is a train, the south shore, or nictd, that goes from downtown to this area) and most of my friends live up there... so don't be afraid of the indiana thing- at least not for this reason... it's quicker to get here than rush hour from the 'burbs to the loop.
okay, that is enough for this section, but there's lots more below...
indeed,
bekele

more specific details about... "my details":
- i am mostly of the caucasian variety, with
some mediterranean sauce a while back...
it's a good story, actually, if you're curious.
- i weigh about 135 pounds, plus/minus 5.
- i don't eat a lot, but i do love a lot of food.
- i would be fine with never smoking again,
but i buy a pack on the very rare occasion.
- i enjoy a beer or two, on occasion, but i'm
not someone who gets drunk, really. i don't
mind if someone drinks more than me, but
preferably not all the time, in big amounts.
- i don't partake of any street/illegal drugs,
but i am for legalizing most kinds of drugs.
i do not really plan on being with someone
who does partake at this point in their life,
but i don't hold it against people who do...
- i graduated from western washington u.,
with a b.a. in sociology, w/ a concentration
in stratification/gender studies and minors
in psych and philosophy (gender/identity).
-i started graduate school, but i didn't stay.
i'd like to go back, though, to finish a m.a.
in sociology or get a b.a. in library science.
-i mention it in more detail below, but i sell
stuff on amazon for the music store i used
to work at for 4+ years. we sell lots of cool
items, and i also welcome any questions...
i worked for borders, in the music dept, for
a long time, too. it's sad that they closed...
-i'm also looking into being an independent
guitar instructor, as i don't have a place of
business to teach at since the store closed.
- i do not make a lot of money, but i get by.
- i'm the good/fun uncle, and that's enough.
-i dig cats, and i have always had them, so...
if you're allergic to, and like, them, i'm sorry.
(i like dogs, but do not enjoy all the barking.)
-i took spanish in high school, but that is it.
i wish i would have used it in the real world.
what else... i welcome questions and such,
so...?
