I live in north London. Moved here for work but my heart belongs to
the north, Sheffield in particular.
I work in campaigning, it's great. Not sure it's particularly
fashionable to love your job but I do.
I do craft. Well I start craft. My speciality is half finished
scarves, individual mittens and unframed cross stitch.
I'm fairly opinionated. Lefty, secular, feministy politics floating
my boat mainly. You know those people who say you shouldn't talk
about politics on a first date? They're wrong.
I love maths.
My favourite book is Alice in Wonderland.
My favourite film is either Pan's Labyrinth or Dumbo depending on
whom I'm trying to impress.
I only had my first ever gin last year. I took to it like a duck
to, well, gin.
What I’m doing with my life
Campaigning, buying new books, re-reading old books, cross stitch,
napping, explaining things with graphs, forgetting to blow candles
out, tweeting, trying to afford theatre tickets, saying 'it's like
that time in How I Met Your Mother when...', making hot Vimto,
talking about the north.
I’m really good at
Not taking myself particularly seriously.
Drinking small quantities of wine.
Sneaking song titles into presentations.
Catching trains with seconds to spare.
Getting my train ticket out of the self service machine really
The first things people usually notice about me
To look at - I'm short, probably wearing a silly winter hat of some
sort and carrying lots of stuff for work.
On first conversation - I'm quite sarcastic but never mean,
interested in your opinions and happy to share my own. I can't hold

The six things I could never do without
A job that makes me want to get out of bed in the morning.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How did society let the dialogue on perfume adverts get so out of
On a typical Friday night I am
Intending to be in the pub with friends. More likely, on a train
back from working somewhere a couple of hours away, wondering
whether to treat myself to a glass of wine and a packet of Quavers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
About once a year I spend a whole day panicking that I'm the Truman

If you vote Tory, use the phrase 'benefit scroungers' or call your
girlfriends 'the Mrs', maybe we should give it a miss.
*I have a relationship type person in my life so I'm not looking
for anything along those lines. It'd be nice to meet someone to
have some friendship and casual who-knows-what with so if you'd be
interested in that but aren't looking for someone to tick the
girlfriend box then say hello!*
