I am punk rock, bookish, and in-charge.

My Self-Summary

I like punk rock and alt country and other stuff too. I'm all about the books and the films and the bands. I never ever leave the house without red lipstick and eyeliner. I like lo brow art and comic books muchos. I am all about autumn and winter, spring and it's new beginning vibe annoys me and summer is just terrible. It's hot, your make up falls off, your hair won't stay smooth. It's a bad scene. I like indoors - but parks are good when leaves are on the ground and its too cold for children.

What I’m doing with my life

Career stuff, never thought I would, but I found something I like to do that I'm awesome at doing. That and trying to be okay with turning 30, and figuring out how to move to the states where all my favourites live.

I’m really good at

Words. Anything word based. Thereby conversation. Make-up. Hair. Being mean.

The first things people usually notice about me

Hmmm, not sure, that I'm striking?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - Douglas Coupland, Maggie Estep, Bukowski, JT LeRoy, Dave Eggers, Fante, Kathy Acker, JD Salinger, Bret Easton Ellis, Murakami, Michael Chabon, Melissa P, Susie Bright, Most anything on Soft Skull or Akashic

Graphics - Dan Clowes, Adrian Tomine, Jeffrey Brown, Jessica Abel, Nate Powell, Roman Dirge, Hernandez Bros, Terry Moore, most stuff on fantagraphics, D & Q, SLG, Alternative Comics, Top Shelf really.

Bands - Buffalo Tom, Afghan Whigs, Alkaline Trio, Smiths, Jawbreaker, MTX, Donnas, Promise Ring, Saves the Day, Lungfish, Jets to Brazil, Death Can for Cutie, Postal Service, The Faint, Bright Eyes, Juliana Theory, Her Space Holiday, DHC, Kevin Devine, Go Sailor, Bratmobile, Bikini Kill, The Cure, Braid, Hey Mercedes, Ataris, Joan Jett, Jawbox, Rilo Kiley, Firehose, Seaweed, Brand New, Get Up Kids, The Anniversary, Koufax, Thursday, Twilight Singers, Sleater Kinney, Iron and Wine, Rydell, Rival Schools, Robokop Kraus, Shins, Reggie & The Full Effect, Liz Phair, Pilot to Gunner, Pavement, Point Counter Point, Cap'n Jazz, Gameface, Jeff Caudill, Keith Welsh, Rosie Thomas, Denison Whitmer, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, 16 Horsepower, Shivering,

Movies - Big deal to me, studied film @ Uni a few times before dropping out. Jaws is without doubt the best film ever made. I can justify this to you in a variety of ways dependent on your argument so it's best not to ask. Other than that - all the john hughes movies. All the US indie stuff that doesn't look contrived now.. Hundreds and hundreds of horror movies. All about Gregg Araki.. Really liked all the real girls. Liked Garden State because of its flaws, people aren't allowed to make directorial debuts with flaws anymore... you know? You should just ask me about films. I'll tell you.

Food - I'm a vegetarian. My favourite things are mashed potatoes. soup. quorn veggie roasts. A lot of winter based goodness.

You should just check my myspace page. It's far more accurate.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Most everything.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drunk. Somewhere. At a show. Probably.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Nothing yet.

You think I might answer you.
