My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a decent, divorced man who is getting ready for retirement, and seeking my last great love. I want to enjoy the final 20 or 30 years, write a few books, travel, and share the adventures with a special lady.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I live a small, simple life these days, with no debts, no major worries, no car, and very little excitement. My work is counselling people with problems involving drugs, alcohol, and other issues. I have a job at the weekends, so keep myself fairly busy. I also pretend to write, in the belief (delusion?) that I can teach something to the next generation.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a very good counsellor, with nearly 3/4 of my clients showing great changes and improvements in their lives. I consider myself a lucky person, but no lottery wins, so far. LOL
I am not so good at opening up, until I know you well. I was raised with the British 'stiff upper lip' culture common in those days, so my ideal partner will have lots of patience and common sense.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes are, so I'm told, my best feature. I don't know, as I only can see from the inside. Why not tell me what you see and like?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have hundreds of books, just in time for e-readers to be invented. they are an eclectic lot ranging fro Physics, Philosophy, Murder mysteries, UFOs and History, along with novels. My bedside table usually has several books on the go at once. i like good movies, but prefer to go with someone than go alone.
I spent many years in the food and drink business, so have an appreciation of good food. I can even cook a bit.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Freedom, love, companionship, the ability to think clearly, and thusual food, drink, oxygen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future of human civilization; Life after death; you know, the small stuff. I also keep checking on my investments, and answering those STUPID questions on this site.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At work, talking to real people.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It is private.
