My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Equally value dumb fun as I do depth of thought. More important than intelligence though to me is emotional IQ; I think compassion and empathy are some of the most important qualities in a person. Have zero interest/tolerance for arrogant people and if your profile includes a selfy or sexual innuendos like the word naughty I'm going to go ahead and be judgmental and say it's probably not going to be a good fit...
Not a huge online communicator (also a luddite in general) and think you can know more about someone from 5 minutes of meeting them in person than through hours of instant messaging or emailing so by far prefer the former.
Like most of us, I think this self summary crap sucks. For me, that's mostly because I find it hard to express how magical/awesome/exciting I find...well, most be. It would be great to find someone who is a combination of easily excitable, curious and thoughtful. Even/especially if it's just a friendship.
I am super allergic to cliches/most people who use them (tho i've met a few exceptions, the key word being few) . Especially those of the "work hard, play hard" variety that are oh-so-common here on OkC. Ick. Bleh. If it's not worth saying...then, well, it's not worth saying...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I read books n' shit. No really, I get paid to do that. Crazy, right?
Otherwise, trying to move a lot. Being outside generally translates into my being happy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking I'm really bad at things
Admittedly I'm a bit turned off by people who answer this question seriously and/or with a long list of things they are really good at. A little bit of humility goes a Long way in my book.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I look like a giraffe, i.e., my neck is very long.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

ALL food. And too much of the other stuff to get into...I mean I read for a living and I have a movie club on the side...I can really geek out on that other stuff. I will say it's a wide range of high brow to super low brow. Like SUPER low. Shockingly low.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm fairly resilient, try me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm proly reading in my pajamas. Unless I'm going real crazy and going to the museum on one of those nights when they keep them open late.
Really though, most likely doing something low key but doesn't mean that I don't like doing something not low key on occasion. Homegirl likes to dance once in a while.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not that private but if your profile pictures include selfies or shirtless photos, chances are I feel embarrassed for you.

On the privater side, lately I keep listening to this on repeat and wanting to cry: it's just so goddamn beautiful....what do you know, I am a softie afterall...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to treat someone (me) awesomely and be awesomely treated :) I know what I want, have a lot to offer, and am not interested in settling for less.
That includes friends too. I value quality over quantity by far, and like people who are true to themselves and their word (i.e. not flaky).
