My Self-Summary

I just moved to Santa Clara to take a job that I'm absolutely stoked about!!! On the down side, I only know a few people in the area so you should definitely hit me up :P

LIKES: the oakland a's, game nights, girls that don't play games, exploring, movies, people watching, apples to apples (I have it in my car at all times...no joke, always ready for an A2A throw down), dessert, breakfast, italian food, traveling, hiking, running, adam sandler and skyping

DISLIKES: smoking, 420 (we all have to grow up eventually...if you're an adult and still smoking pot, that's a problem in my book), paris hilton (why is she famous again...?), perez hilton (I'm not gayphobic, but dude seriously has the most annoying voice ever. period.), krispy kreme donuts (highly overrated), when you pour a bowl of cereal then go to the refrigerator and there's no milk left, rude people

MY "TYPE": somebody who can take a joke and send one right back at me (playful verbal jousting is a huge plus in my book), somebody who takes care of themselves (you don't have to be a gymaholic, but I like a girl who stays active.), somebody who is at least open to the idea of going to a sporting event, somebody that has strong family values/morals and somebody who I'm attracted to. Is that too much to ask for? :P I sure hope not haha

PS - Brownie points to anyone who can name this movie quote: "Peace be the journey."

OK I'm done. Thanks for reading.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Blind Side, It's Not About the Bike, The Miracle of Castel di Sangro, Can I Keep My Jersey?, Born to Run, Once a runner, Friday Night Lights (better than the movie). I love to read, but my novel selection tends to hover around sports/fitness.

Movies: Gladiator, anything with Adam Sandler, sucker for animated comedies like Madagascar, Shrek, Ice Age, etc., Major League I and II, The Sandlot...basically, if it's sports, comedy or action, I'm game

Food: ITALIAN! I like to think that, even though my heritage lacks any Italian, I was born to live in Tuscany. I also have a major sweet tooth :P

The six things I could never do without

Sports, Italian food, breakfast, my cell phone, laptop and family

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Traveling! There are so many places I want to see...Tuscany, New Zealand, Rio de Janeiro, Austria, Australia...if I had the money, I would take a year off to just travel around the globe. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen anytime soon haha. But I love taking mini adventures and exploring new places (even if it's just a drive up the road to a town/trail I've never been to)

On a typical Friday night I am

I would rather spend a Friday night chillin with some good friends doin whatever than heading to the club/bar, but I'll go anywhere with the right company
