I work in public health. I really like to get out and about, either running, biking, walking, or going for a hike once in a while. I lived abroad for a long time, in France, so am interested in other cultures whether through food, literature, or movies. Consider myself pretty intellectual and serious about many things, but have a silly side that loves to laugh and enjoy being with others.

Because I can be a bit intellectual, I prefer to be with someone who is comfortable with intellectual ideas and conversations. I'm liberal and progressive, enjoy political discussions, and take life pretty seriously. My work is all about helping others. But in many ways I'm a pretty simple guy that just loves to hang out with friends and to laugh and lounge and smile. I try to be tolerant, caring, and full of love for people. I take reading seriously. Recently reread A Light in August by Faulkner and love classics as well as modern literature. Have read a bunch of French literature in the original. I also like to watch HBO series and comedy specials.
