I am a bit of a work in progress, but then we all are. Even if we don't know it, and the changes aren't always big or noticeable, but they are still happening. I have been doing some self evaluations, and assessments. Rediscovering my faith, and heading back to church. Being introspective as such. With the world changing, a schizophrenic economy, and things changing in my life. Time look at who I am.
I would like to think that I am pretty easy going, and I know that I have a good sense of humor(I can find humor in almost all things, quite often by looking in the mirror) and even if the comedian(or joke for that matter) isn't funny, it will probably remind of something that reminds me of something,(well you get the idea) that I did find funny and I will laugh.
I have some very definite political beliefs, and enjoy a vigorous yet friendly/polite debate. I know that I am fairly well informed, and I do like having those type discussions. Its a chance to both educate, and to more importantly, learn. I would venture to say that my friends are probably 50-50 on each side of the political spectrum or 33-33-33. About 1/3rd to the left and right respectively, and about a third that move, depending on the issue. You may even end up being surprised about where I stand on a few.
I do like sports, I just don't really plan my life around "watching" or going to a game. I am a Cubs fan(went twice in 09', 1 game in San Diego and 1 in Chgo) and a White Sox fan, for as much as a Cubs fan can be. The three great Chicago disasters, 1.) 1871 The Great Chicago Fire 2.) 1992 the Chicago Flood 3.) 2005 White Sox world champs. I like baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf(again you get the idea). I also like to go camping/backpacking and scuba diving(haven't had the time for either).
I have a few TV shows that I like, which I really do try to see when they are shown. Other than those shows not much for TV(no cable or satellite, why pay lots of money for it if you almost never get to see it). I am also a big reader. I like Scifi/Fantasy, I like action and mysteries and "who done its".
I know that I am a caring and compassionate guy. I am one of the people that my friends turn to for help. Be it a hand with something, a ride or fixing something. I kinda do the repair and replace thing for family(extended) and friends. I am the type of guy who tries hold the door open for women and my elders. I say "Yes Mam and No Sir, Thank you. Some of the manners that are missing to day., I am sometimes to caring and compassionate for my own good. I don't always know when to say no.
When it come to relationships, well, when you give to much, and care to much. When your hopes get dashed. When you are always an "after thought" and never a priority. I have been described by more than a few people as being a "Good-hearted guy". You don't get to be good-hearted by accident. You get kicked around long enough, you become a professor of pain. I'd say that I'm a knight in shining amour, but actually, my amour is, well its a little old an rusty an dented, but it is not tarnished. And like the knights of old, When you fall or are knocked off your horse, you get up and get right back on again.

I am intense, capable, and warped

The looking for a job thing got fixed about 3 1/2 years ago (work lots of insane hours and it just never dawns on you to update your profile{at least it didn't to me as I don't look at my profile} till you somehow go to it and you go Oh S&%t!) . My old employer "went" out of business. I had been thinking of a career change, and still am but with the economy being what it is, that may have to wait. Hitting the gym (If I only had the time), trying to get back and into better shape.

Helping friends with stuff. Fixing this, fixing that, Family(loose definition of family)alley mechanic and handyman. Arguing politics and world events. I'm actually a good cook. Both from scratch and with "stock" type ingredients.

Dammed if I know!

Books:anything by Joel Rosenberg, Tom Clancy, David Eddings,Tami Hoag, John Ringo, David Weber, just too many authors.
Books/Movies: LOTR, All the Bourne movies(haven't been able to read all the books). All of the Harry Potter stuff.
Movies:most comedies and action movies. All the star wars movies. Most of the old westerns. If its a good movie I'll watch it.
Music: country, rock, pop, Jimmy Buffet, Meatloaf, Phil Collins, three doors down. Not real big on hip hop or rap, although some of it is OK.
Food: Chinese, Korean, Thai, Mexican, German, Italian, Polish, Sushi and Indian(sorta, need someone to teach me on both). The two finest word in the English language: "Encased meat". And the four finest words are "Brats on the grill". Gravy can be its own food group. I do like and even love my veggies, but, zucchini is a waste of good garden space as is eggplant. I absolutely abhor coconut.

Whats wrong with the world(I'm not talking about "Liberal type issues"). Worrying about family and friends. About being domestic around my apt. Now, about finding a job.

Hard to say, nothing is typical now

Ive seen things that were listed here by others that I think and find to be the most natural things in the world, yet they think of those things as being revelations. Ok I sleep in the nude. saves on laundry,quicker bathroom stops at night, and I was born that way.

You don't smoke, anything. You don't use drugs. This means no smoking "Bud"(as I know people who think marijuana is not a drug, and that using it is not smoking, because its not a cigarette). Those are the only two things that are deal breakers. OH, and you need to be a woman. Some how they got me down as being BI,which I changed awhile back, and which I'm not. Sorry guys, just not what I am interested in, although it doubles my chance of a date ... (it also doubles my chance of being turned down) and since I'm not interested in guys, why risk double the chance of rejection.
