A little bit about myself. I'm from Chicago. I enjoy breweries,
astronomy, biking, hiking, and podcasts (Story time!). Radiolab,
This American Life, and Planet Money are my favorites. I have a
degree in Elementary Education. You know the Toys R' Us song?
Yeah...well, that's me. Sometimes I wonder who's more mature the
kids or me. I love my profession. Teaching is one of the few jobs
where you will experience bizarre personalities that leave you
remembering those individuals in our crowded world.
What I’m doing with my life
My day consists of working with children who have autism, down's
syndrome, cognitive delays, and CP.
I’m really good at
Teaching, problem solving, analyzing behaviors, patience, and
discovering the positives in people.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh. I tend to laugh a lot and loudly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like reading non-fiction and technology.
With music I am everywhere. Whatever holds some sort of importance
to me. Seriously, from Avett Brothers, Elvis, The Beetles, and Four
Seasons to Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, and Bone Thugs n'
TV:Dexter, South Park, Always Sunny, The Walking Dead, Game of
Food is so good... my specialty is home-made bread. Rosemary is my
I LOVE movies! Hugo, LOTR, Batman, Tom Hanks, How to Train Your
Dragon, Disney/Pixar, Brad Pitt, Emma Stone, Zombieland, Say
Anything..., and so many more.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Possibly teaching abroad in 5 years, bettering myself as a person
and teacher, and camping.
