Starting over...

I was time for an update. I, however, loathe writing these things and I am now rethinking this whole "update" idea. I'll add more to this later, perhaps when I'm more rested and feeling witty.

Note: two of my three adjectives that describe me are according to a friend. Not sure why I find this relevant.

What I’m doing with my life

Living it. This August marks 10 glorious years in Kalamazoo. I can now measure segments of my life in decades. Yikes. I took a slight turn two years ago with a teaching career that I never actually started and am now working with youth in a social work setting. I'm attending WMU, once again, this time for my MSW. Other than that, I'm usually spending time with my awesome friends, sitting at home talking to my animals, or working on any number of never-ending home improvement projects.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I LOVE sesame chicken from Great Wall, also: crab rangoons. Movies, I'll watch most, like best the ones that make me think or laugh. Or both. My music covers a broad spectrum; there isn't room for that on here. I have a play list on my itunes entitled "NEPL" which stands for: Non-Embarrassing Play List.

Friends, family, wireless internet, DVR, hugs, Diet Mt. Dew.

Why people think Socialism is a bad thing. Where I left my keys. If Fox News was secretly created by Comedy Central for the sole purpose of providing Jon Stewart with endless material. How so much dust accumulates on ceiling fans. What it might feel like to be organized. What life was like before Facebook.

On a typical Friday night I am

I don't have a "typical" Friday night. I might be out, might be in, and I'm fine with either.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

While I often listen to NPR (that's not the private part) there are times when I feel the need to rock out to country. When this happens and I'm driving one of the vehicles owned by my employer, I will often switch back to NPR before I turn the car off so that the next person to drive it thinks that I'm cultured and intelligent.
