Can you convince me that Boston is awesome? When I was living in DC
for several years, one of my favorite things was that the winters
were mild, and in the rare cases that they had a “Snowpacalypse,”
the overreaction was nothing short of adorable (“A quarter inch of
snow?!?! Close everything!”).
In contrast, I have only traumatic memories of Boston winters. But I left the warm embrace of the mid-Atlantic to return to Boston to run a really interesting research project at a university. Only an incredibly exciting opportunity like that could overcome my winter PTSD! Although my first winter back was mild, this past one brought back all the traumatic memories. This summer better make up for the hours I spent digging out my car!
My previous tour of duty here as a law student required me to spend too much time in the library, leaving much of the city unexplored. Over the past year, I've been making amends and discovering lots of things I really like about this area... But I still don't love it.
So I'm looking for someone who can convince me that this place has something going for it, who could brighten my days when the sun sets at noon, and could warm me up to this frozen tundra of chowder and cannolis. I've got some great friends in Boston, but I'm hoping to meet someone even greater :)
I love running outside (and despise treadmills), biking, photography, and eating ice cream (something I’ll do any time of year, even in a Boston nor’easter). I also like discussing important things (like politics) or really important things (like Charlie Sheen's tiger blood). More than anything else, I like laughing and making other people laugh. Sadly, bad puns are a major part of that, so consider yourself warned. I'm also a Cleveland sports fan, which means it’s best not to ask me about LeBron James, or mention your love of all things Pittsburgh (I'm cool with the BoSox, though!)
