I am passionate, genuine, and romantic.
My Self-Summary
So, I'm here because I usually prefer a night in to a night out. I
prefer to relax and hang out rather than dress up and go party, and
the result of that is that my social circle is pretty small.
I don't really like Bellingham - or rather the tone people take in
Bellingham - because I feel like I can't be myself. Maybe if I
dressed up in hipster clothes and started drinking PBR and wore
fake glasses and bullshitted about how terrible men are I'd get
more dates, but in all honesty I can't be fake. I'm completely
unable to be like that. I consider that an amazingly great
thing.
Honestly I think it's absurd to expect me to be able to summarize
myself in a couple paragraphs. "I am large; I contain multitudes"
to quote Whitman.
Um... okay here's the deal I'm gonna make with you: I'll write down
a few brutally honest statements about my character, and if the
majority of them are intriguing to you then shoot me a message,
ok?
I can be very blunt and honest, and I refuse to censor
myself.
I'm very open about sexuality, despite never been with a woman I
could really be sexually open with.
I LOVE - absolutely freaking LOVE - to cook. And I can do it quite
well. And if you and I ever date then I would love to host you and
cook you a delicious dinner.
I also love to please, not just in a sexual way but I like to make
the women I date feel very loved. Some might call me a hopeless
romantic.
If I'm emotionally attracted to a woman, I'm physically attracted
to her and only her. Other girls just remind me of her.
I generally like older women because I love maturity. That really
has nothing to do with age, just maturity.
Let's see... ok I want to say something that will scare off the
girls who aren't ready to open up physically (I don't mean like
"doesn't put out on the first date", but rather a girl who isn't
afraid of sex), but I also want to scare off the girls who aren't
ready to open up emotionally. So I'm going to make a weird
statement with the understanding that it's weird, but true
nonetheless:
I think telling someone you love them is gratifying, both sexually
and emotionally.
So yeah. My name's Ryan, I'm the greatest weirdo you'll ever meet.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going to school to get my teaching degree.
I’m really good at
Writing, tutoring/teaching, reading people... making people laugh.
I dunno... cooking dishes that for whatever reason make girls
horny? I never got that connection but... yeah. I do love to cook
though!
The first things people usually notice about me
My cane... haha... and my hair now that I decided to cut it
incredibly short and let it grow out. But I suppose when people get
to know me it'd be my eyes and sense of humor.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, any of Ray Bradbury's
short stories, The Sabriel/Lirael/Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix,
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series...
Movies: I'm a pretty typical guy here... Matrix, Blade, Lord of the
Rings, etc etc... though I'll go ahead and throw in some curveballs
with American Beauty and The Princess Bride
Music: Green Day, Gorillaz, Linkin Park, Incubus, Disturbed,
Nickelback, Nine Inch Nails, Styx, Massive Attack, Beck, Dr. Dre,
The All-American Rejects, The Eagles, RJD2, Weezer, Radiohead,
Tool, Wolfmother, Fort Minor, Muse, Hot Hot Heat, Jamiroquai, Jet,
Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix...
Food: I love to cook Italian, Brazilian, Mexican, and I'm
experimenting with some variations of various asian recipes, but as
I can't/don't eat seafood it's a bit tough to roam freely across
the culinary map.
The six things I could never do without
The Internet
Coffee
Video Games
Sex (yep, I do love sex... but then again, if you don't love sex
then you just gotta find the right person and then whoooooaaaa
boy)
Garlic
Alcohol (it sounds really bad that way, but I'm lumping together
beer and hard alcohols... they're all just so tasty!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Teaching... like different ways to explain different ideas. Sports
because it heats up this time of year. Ideas of stuff to cook or
how to cook it. And about a half dozen partially developed ideas
for novels.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either relaxing in or out having drinks with a few friends in a
chill bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I had a string of very bad girlfriends who really messed with my
view of women for a few years, but I think I'm ready to (or already
have) move on.
Oh and I may have cried during the scene where Dumbledore died in
the most recent Harry Potter movie and all the wizards were
standing around his body with their wands raised. Not really
"cried" though but had that one tear roll down my cheek and
couldn't breathe right... I know, I know! I'm terrible!
You should message me if
You want a guy who isn't a pushover, has a bit of a belly (I've
been told some girls think it's sexy...), and a guy who's very
romantic and values a one-on-one connection rather than some
variant of "I'm a wild stallion that can't be tied down!". I dunno,
just message me. I wanna meet more people! C'mon you're reading
this right now... maybe you're shy, or afraid of rejection, or
maybe you're questioning whether or not you're *really* interested
in me.
There's only one way to find out, but I could be the love of your
life and if you don't message me you're letting me slip away!
Okay that sounded way more needy rather than inspiring, but you
know what I mean. I seem to like shy girls so my romantic life is a
bit of a paradox... but what's the worst that could happen if you
shot me a message?
