My self-summary
Hey there, I'm Ryan.

I'm a very, very confident individual. Some might feel tempted to use big, mean words about that like "arrogant twat" (Even OKC, apparently), but that implies that I can't do all the things I say I can, which is ridiculous. I'm confident, not arrogant(That was a joke. Mostly.)

Besides, would that smile-esque thing lie to you?
What I’m doing with my life
Graduated from UCI two years ago. After failing to get in to med school, I worked and applied to graduate school. I'll be returning to UCI in September for a ms in biotechnology.

I currently play video games professionally (as in sole source of income), which is actually why I'm up in nor cal for now.

After I finish school I'll probably just emulate dr. Horrible. Or something.
I’m really good at
-Seeing the good side of things.

-Debating, especially ethics/philosophy even though I can't stand relevant readings.

-Math/logic. I used to do competitive math. Right?

-Turning people off by talking about how I used to do competitive math

-Eating a lot and somehow still staying skinny (Oh god I don't want to get old)
The first things people usually notice about me
"Has anyone ever told you you look like that guy from spiderman."

Half of my friends swear I'm his twin, the other half don't see it at all D:

More people know me as James Franco at my rock climbing gym than as silly names like 'Ryan' or 'Griswold'.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As far as books, I'm a big fan of the Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow series(Like a septuple orgasm from each book. Oddly enough, I can't stand anything else by Orson Scott Card). I generally prefer straight fiction over realistic fiction but I'm a slut for a book with a believable, sympathetic antagonist who could be the protagonist if it were written from his point of view.

I'm not into movies in general. My favorite would have to be Dr. Horrible, but it's only like 50 minutes so it doesn't really count as a movie per say.

When I watch shows, I prefer comedies. Stuff like HIMYM, scrubs, archer, boondocks, etc.

If I had to name my favorite genre, it'd probably be punk rock. Stuff like Rise Against, Anberlin, The Academy is, Breaking Benjamin, etc but I will listen to some songs from almost all genres.

I love to cook, especially pastas and salads. I love to eat Italian food and its the only place I'll eat cheese (Can't stand it on a sandwich, love it over pasta)
The six things I could never do without
Computer/internet... for work... of course.
A giant comforter (best feeling in the mornings)
Family/friends.
Music, to air drum along too when I'm doing boring work
Hot showers after a cold day.
Cloud, my dog. Even though he's a grumpy old man who think's he's a cat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Solving useless problems.

How we could solve most useful problems by not being dicks for like five minutes a day
On a typical Friday night I am
Either out with friends or online with them.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I'm on my computer, I probably have a video game stream on my second screen. Sometimes it's just background noise, sometimes I actually watch. If it seems that odd, just think of it like watching MLB or NBA games.
You should message me if
You don't mind hearing corny jokes.

You're relieved to hear my hair isn't nearly as curly as it is in my profile pictures.

Oh, right. Being serious time. This seems to be frowned upon, but I'm not looking for something too serious. Ideally, I'd love someone to go out with and have a good time doing whatever. I'm not sure where the future will take me so I'm not exactly looking for things that will cement me anywhere.
