My Self-Summary

Well, I'm addicted to apples, but it's a healthy addiction, so I'm not shy about it. Some describe me as very caring. However, I can show little emotion.

I don't believe in love at first sight, or anything at first sight, for that matter (except lust). Although I believe what a person looks like does have a first impression, I believe it doesn't affect the final decision in a relationship. But they still matter.

I am the most stubborn human being you will ever meet. Hands down. There's no point in arguing. I tend to provoke people, for a couple to reasons: to see how they react, and because I can. It takes time for the real me to come out. I'm quiet at first, but after a while, I'll become my normal, crude self, so don't get discouraged if I'm not very talkative in the beginning. That being said, I tend to float between the two. At times, I can be very loud and outgoing. And yes, I have photo evidence to prove it.

What I’m doing with my life

Busboy by night, soldier once a month, spontaneous all the time (the other day I decided I wanted to play the harmonica so I bought one and am teaching myself). I enjoy writing immensely, and maybe, just maybe, if you get close enough to me, you just might become one of the few people to read it. I love to do sketches, as well as cook.

I've just returned from Iraq, and am trying to get my life to progress. I'm in Grand Rapids CC as a criminal justice major.

I’m really good at

Making people think about the little things, and being romantic (you'd be surprised). Also I'm fiercely loyal, which has led to many an argument/fight.

I love doing dishes. It allows me to blast the music. I'll even dry them, too. Same goes for laundry.

The first things people usually notice about me

Physically, my eyes and my smile. People always tell me I'm quiet. Once you get to know me, I'll let anything out.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

A) Political/military thrillers, (auto)biographies, war, history, politics (my two favorite authors are Michael Crichton and Tom Clancy) B) Ask me how many times I've seen Blazing Saddles! War, horror, comedy flicks C) Popular classical, classical, classic rock. Elvis Presley ... Laura Pausini ... Andrea Bocelli ... Luciano Pavarotti. I have an extreme soft spot of Latin music (P.S. I despise modern American music, as well as any form of jazz. Except 30 Seconds to Mars. Love that band). D) I'll give you two guesses ...

The six things I could never do without

Coffee ... apples ... music ... my brother ... my mother ... air. Although I'm adding a seventh, I don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without the military. It's done so much for me, and I have much appreciation and respect for everyone involved. It's a second family to me, and I love them dearly. Also I adore boxing and baseball (what's TBS's fetish for the Braves?)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I'm going to do next; I'm more of the "here-and-now" type of person. That's gotten me into some trouble. But it's fun. What's life without it? Sometimes I don't put much thought into my actions or words. At other times, I may think too much. But we're all still learning. Right? Right?

On a typical Friday night I am

Spending time with my friends, whether that be DD at a party or jumping in the river in 40 degrees and rain. Other than that, working (aside from cranking the stereo and dancing; yes, this is something I do both in the kitchens at work and home).

A few things I'm willing to let loose: I'm full-blooded Italian... maybe that's why I cried when Luciano Pavarotti died? Oh... and the other 10% of me is coffee.
