What I’m doing with my life

I am a librarian and I love my job. The rest of the time I'm reading, writing, cooking, mothering, getting involved my community, growing food, eating food, listening to the radio, taking pictures, walking around town and shaking my head at journalistic media.

I’m really good at

Cooking, writing, walking, organizing, fixing things, traveling and watching tv. There's something funny about everything, however inappropriate, and I can always tell you what it is, or at least giggle to myself about it.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I read a lot, mostly fiction. I like to read newspapers and research everything.

I like old movies...a lot, but I enjoy all kinds, with the exception of submarine-based thrillers. I think TV on DVD is fabulous.

Most of what I listen to can be classified as old rock, new rock, brit pop, jazz, or bluegrass.

I love food. I really believe that local, organic and sustainable agriculture is the solution to most of the world's problems. There's a special place in my heart for pizza, butter tarts, Indian and Vietnamese.

The six things I could never do without

My daughter, good food/drink, my best friends, the CBC, the internet and dancing.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How ridiculous everything is.

On a typical Friday night I am

I like to be outside when the weather's nice, and on the couch when it's not. I like going out for beers at the pub, and out for breakfast on the weekends.
